chapter forty five: pipturus albidus
Y/N'S P.O.V.
"I'm sorry, Y/N, but that's as much as I know. I can't really tell you much else. You were right, I can't prove for sure that it's him, but I just know because I know him," Oikawa sighs.
"Are you trying to tell me that Atsumu was the one who killed Tsukishima?" you ask.
Oikawa sighs. "Didn't you hear what I just said? I can't explain the full story."
"Then what's your point in telling me all of this?" you shrug, looking between him and Kageyama who's still sitting nearby.
"Well, you could take her to Mamaki," Kageyama shrugs.
"Shit, Tobio, that's a fucking haul," Oikawa sighs.
"It'll give you a second opinion. If he agrees with you then we could pretty much be sure that it was him," Kageyama nods as he sits up, already ready to go.
"But who the fuck are we even talking ab-" you begin before Oikawa cuts you off by jumping up to his feet.
"You're right," he smiles, "Let's go."
"We're going to meet someone?" you ask Oikawa as he looks down at you and holds out his hand. "You can't be serious. Is this someone you knew from prison?"
"Yeah, his name's Hinata. He got along with my old bunkie and Atsumu so he'd know what to think of this whole situation," Oikawa nods as he still keeps his arm extended towards you.
"Fine," you sigh as you lift up your hand and reach for his. "Are you coming, too, Kageyama?"
"Not like I've got anything else to do," he shrugs. "I'll tag along."
About a half-hour walk later, your group arrives in Mamaki. There, you finally stop before a deep red house. Oikawa knocks and the three of you wait for about a minute, only to realize nobody's answering.
"Should we just go in?" Oikawa shrugs as he looks toward you.
"No, we can't just-" Kageyama begins as Oikawa turns the knob and opens the door.
"Well, it's unlocked. We might as well. You hungry, Y/N?" Oikawa smiles at you.
"I could eat again."
The three of you walk into Hinata's house and help yourself to the icebox inside. You and Kageyama eat a horse-sized helping of food before you finally come up for air and lean back.
