Chapter 11

The person who was clapping turned out to be Zack. "Wow, the emo kids saved the day once again." He taunts while Shadow looks at him annoyed. "What's your problem?" Then, Ashley also shows up and tells them. "Oh I don't know, probably because you keep doing our job!" Eliza looks at them confused. "Why is that a problem?" Then Macie, Ethan, and Trisha tell them. "We are the heroes, not you!" Razor growls at them while Owen taunts Bree while looking at them. "Yeah, it's our job not your's" Evan looks at him and says. "Shut your mouth or I'll do it for you!" The two teams argue until Elia shows up and breaks the argument. "Enough!" Her team looks at her and asks. "Why are these fools with you?" Trisha asks her. "Because-" She stops when she sees Miles walk out of the bushes. "You!" She says while she looks away from him. "Oh crap!" Ethan says while he looks at the two. The two teams look at both of them and start feeling uncomfortable. "I'm with them because I don't want to see you, Miles!" She mumbles while Miles looks down in sadness. She starts to feel sick when she says she doesn't want to be near Miles. "Fine, I thought you said we were just going to be apart from each other for a few days, but turns out you just no longer want to be with me!" Elia looks at him and tells him. "Wait wait wait, that's not what I meant-" She is interrupted by Miles saying. "Save it! Goodbye my ang-Elia!" He almost calls her what he always does but he corrects himself. Miles walks away while he also feels ill for saying those things to her. Evan walks towards her and pats her shoulder. "It's okay, you don't need him-" Elia turns around and yells at him. "I do need him! I thought I could move on without him, but I've become so attached to him that I can't even live without him in my life!" Evan looks down and tells her. "I know the feeling." He walks away while Elia follows him back to they're secret area. While they walk in, Eliza and Shadow can be seen together. "Man, I really am not good at fighting." Shadow looks at him and tells him. "Nah, you can take em, your demon strong!" The two laugh while Eliza holds his hands and tells him. "You're just saying that because you're my boyfriend. Man, that's nice to say, my boyfriend!" The two giggle once more and put their heads together. But Shadow notices that Eliza looks upset about something. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asks him. "It's just, did you see how Elia looked when she saw Miles earlier? She looked really sad, and here we are all happy and cuddling." Shadow looks down and soberly tells him. "Yeah." Eliza looks at him and tells him. "Maybe we put a lid on it, just so that she doesn't feel so awful." Shadow smirks at him and tells him. "You got a big heart Eliza." While he kisses him on the cheek. Then Elia can be seen walking out of the door behind them and the two quickly go back to their normal selves. "Any luck?" Shadow asks her. "About what?" Eliza steps in and tells her. "What plans popped up?" Elia looks at him and says. "Yeah, we do. We need to clean up some of the damage from the battle." She walks outta the door and to the area of the battle while both Eliza and Shadow feel bad for her. Evan also helps her to clean up while Eliza and Shadow are also cleaning. While they clean, Eliza trips and Shadow quickly picks him up. "Heh, my hero!" He tells him, until they look at Elia which still looks upset about earlier. "Oh." Eliza says while Shadow finishes his sentence. "Right." The two walk away from each other until Eliza tells him. "Oh, I got an idea!" Shadow turns around and asks him. "What is it?" Eliza then snaps both of his fingers and aims both of them at Shadow. "Uhh?" He says while snapping his fingers back at him with a confused look. "It means I can tell you in code how happy you make me, without rubbing it in our friends faces." He looks at him while asking. "What does it mean?" Eliza gives him the answer. "Hmm, oh! Two snaps means. "I wish I could hold your hand!" And two claps means. "I love you so much!" And a wink means. "I want to kiss you!" The two laugh while they both clap at each other. Elia notices the two having fun and smiles for them, but quickly loses it when she starts thinking about her relationship. While the two clean up, they find a broken pipe which shoots out very cold air and Eliza gets contacted with it. "Eliza!" He yells while going towards him. The other two also go towards Eliza. "S-s-so c-cold!" He shivers which confuses Shadow because of their secret codes. "Shiver with three blinks, what does that even mean?" Elia tells him with a confused tone. "Uhh, it obviously means he's cold you idiot, umm don't beat me up for calling your boyfriend that." Evan asks Shadow. "Wait, you two were doing this thing with your body when you were cleaning up, what did it mean?" Shadow was about to say it meant nothing, but Eliza tells them. "I-it might have been o-our secret c-code so w-we wouldn't be a-annoyingly c-coupley in front of your guys." The two siblings look at them and smile. "Are you kidding, we're so happy for you two!" Evan tells them while Elia says. "Yeah, and you two make this other trash more bearable. Look, what you have is awesome, let it be awesome!" Eliza grabs her and the three hug. "Oh this hug is warming my body and my heart!" She looks at them and says, "A little corny, but cute!" Evan smirks at the two while he walks back into the base. And the two go back to flirting with each other.
