Chapter 5

Liam's POV

"Liam! What the hell are you doing" Lilly shouted from the other side of the room

I looked toward her,

"Well am trying to kiss Joe! Not that it has anything to do with you!" I shouted back, with a hint of sarcasm

Everybody around me started to whisper, but I couldn't hear what but I had a few guesses. I pulled away from Joe and got up off the floor, heading toward Lilly.

"What the hell is your problem Lilly?" I asked her

"You, you are my problem I don't like seeing MY boyfriend trying to kiss someone else especially another guy" Lilly screamed back at me.

"First off Lilly, I has nothing to do with you if I kiss or try to kiss someone and secondly I broke up with you this morning!" I stated and walked out of the cafeteria

The rest of the day went by pretty slowly after that, I didn't see Joe again. As I sat in my last class of the day, I watched the clock tick second my second, a silence that was screaming loud ran through the hallways, as everybody watch the clock tick by, 3:59PM.

After what felt like an eternity, the bells finally broke the loud silence as they echoed through the school at 4PM, and kid began to fall out of their rooms and to their lockers. I however sat in my seat and waited and waited, 4:04PM, the halls began to quieten down again, 4:05 I gently slid out of my seat and walked out the class room door, to the main exit I didn't bother going to my locker as I was just desperate to get this day over with.

As I walked toward my car I suddenly notice something out of the corner of my eye, I was Joe standing next to his car with a disheartening look on his face. I couldn't help but walk to him it was when I reached him I notice what was wrong, some idiots had slashed his tyres and broke the mirrors it was total write off until he had new tyres put on.

"Joe, are you okay, they didn't hurt you did they?" I questioned with a worrying tone

Joe looked up from the ground and stared right in to my eyes that when I knew, they hadn't hurt him physically but emotional and mentally I could see the tears build up in his big blue eyes as he was trying to fight them.

"Come on, I will take you home" I offered with a heartfelt tone

Joe just smiled at me and pulled himself of his car, we walked over to mine which was only a few spaces over. The ride back to Joes house was silent, as we arrived at Joes house, he broke the awkward silence that had loomed in the air for the whole drive.

"Thanks for this Liam, but why are you being nice to me all of a sudden?" Joe asked

"Sure no problem."

I didn't know what to say to joe, after he had asked why i was being nice to him. So i decided to leave it at that.

Joe didn't ask again, he just got out of the car and smiled at me before he shut the door and walked in to his house.

I sighed as started the car again and made my way home.
