"Ready?" Liam asked me, as he approached my locker.

"Yeah," I replied as I slammed my locker shut as turned to face him, taking his hand.

We walked down the hallway to the exit, towards his car. On the way back to Liam's , our song came on 'love me like you mean it'. there is nothing special about it. its was our song because it was the song that was playing, when we got back in the car after that night at the look-out.

We looked at one another and smiled, as we both began to sing- a-long.

After the song had finished, I waited a few seconds, fiddling with the bottom of my t-shirt as the silence continued to grow. I blew out a breath.

"Babe, I'm sorry for not believing you" I spoke breaking the silence.

"Don't worry about it," he replied as he placed his hand on to mine.

For the rest of the ride we just spoke about random things, then finally we arrived at his apartment.

"Wow," I said as we walked into his apartment, my eyes scanning around the room, taking in the furniture and artwork on the walls.

"What? It's not like you have never been here before," Liam laughed, letting go of my head so he could slip off his shoes and dropped his school bag.

"Yeah... I know, but that was when I was so down, I didn't know where I was, so I wasn't really paying attention."

"That's true," he replied with a slight giggle.

Once we had eaten, we decided to lay on the couch and watch some TV.

"Liam?" I spoke breaking the silence, yet again.

"Hmm," he replied.

"Are you mad that we haven't done it yet?" I asked looking down to my feet.

"Of course not, whenever we're both ready, I told you that," he replied.

I nodded with a small smile, and turned to kiss his cheek.

"Liam... I think I'm ready," I blurted out.

The nerves overtook me, as I shifted into an upright position. My knee bouncing at a constant speed. When Liam didn't respond I turned to glance at him, and at the look on his face made me regret asking, I knew it was stupid, I shouldn't have just blurted it out like that. He probably thinks I'm just saying it because it was mentioned. Gnawing at my bottom lip and still no reply from Liam, I swore and stood up.

"You know what? Forget it. Forget I said anything, clearly you don't and now I've gone and made everything weird... I'll just leave," I rambled, heading towards the door.

Before I made it to the hallway I felt a hand curl around my wrist, and pull me backwards into a solid chest.

"I'm sorry, I was shocked and surprise. Kind of didn't expect it and went blank. But... I want it too," He told me, curling his arms around my waist to keep me there.

The moment I tried to escape his arms he tightened them around me and twisted me around to face him, he moved his hands to cup my face and pulled me into a deep kiss. As we kissed I felt myself being manhandled, and moved in a direction. I was unsure at first until my knees hit the back of something solid, and then landed on my back, on something soft with him on top of me. We were on his bed, and I instantly became more nervous and anxious, only when we broke the kiss did I tell him.

"Don't be" Liam spoke in a soft calming voice. "I am too"

It's at that very moment I knew that our relationship would never been the same. Even though nothing had happened yet, it was just knowing that we both felt 'ready' to take the next step in our relationship.

I pulled out of the kiss, as I removed my hands from his neck to place them around his waist

"We need to go back to school" I spoke softly to him as I pulled myself into his chest.

"I know" Liam responded as he place his hands on my back to embrace the hug.
