Never cry

Devan open his eyes and made a faint cry ouch, "oh God my head, it hurts like hell!" he put his hand on his head and massaged it. He stood up and realized that it was quiet, very quiet. He walked down the stairs and checked all the rooms, kitchen, living room, Adelia's bedroom and also Lilith's, no one. "This is strange, where are they?", he got a little bit stressed and ran to the phone to call Adelia. When he picked it up and was about to press the buttons, he hit himself on the head with his hand "you don't have her phone number idiot! gosh Devan you've become forgetful". Right when he put the phone down he heard the door open, he turned and saw Adelia and Lilith. "Oh, hello godfather"

"Yes yes hello hello! Where were you, you worried the shit out of me!"

"You where worried?" he saw Lilith shine with her eyes, "not the reason that you think, if I lose you two I am basically going to jail forever!"

"Oh, ok..." Lilith got a little bit sad and walked away with a bag that was filled with things that Devan didn't see, he then turned to Adelia. "Well, we went shopping while you was still asleep" Devan looked at the clock and saw that it almost where two. "Damn I slept very long" he thought, "ok what did you by then?". Adelia looked at Lilith and saw that she wasn't looking and then took Devan under his arm to the next room, then she started to whisper "we bought some thing to her mom"

"But isn't her mom dea- oh"

"We bought thing to her grave, some candles and flowers, do you want to come with us?

I don't know, I have so much things to do today"

"Devan listen here boy, if you don't come now she will be very disappointed and sad, do you really want that?"

"No"

Then come with us, she will be a little happier that you are showing respect to her mother"

"Thank you, and I know that you where worried for us, I mean her. You can't fool the old dinosaur" Adelia walked away and Devan got a little smile on his lips. When they came to the cemetery, they had to walk to the end where her moms grave was. "Why is her grave all the way over here?" Devan whispered to Adelia, "because they couldn't afford the price and they just put her all the way here" Devan felt bad about that, how could they do that? Can money really buy everything now days? Lilith put the flowers on the grave and Adelia lighted a candle, "excuse me, I have to use the bathroom before we leave". Devan and Lilith was alone by her moms grave, he looked at Lilith and notice something. "Hey why are you not crying? I know that is an odd question but i have to ask"

"One day my mom didn't feel good, I thought she just had a cold and should just stay in bed. But when the days past, she got worse and worse. She was send to the hospital, I didn't see her for months and that really made me sad. When I finally went to see her she said that she was sick, very sick. I asked what was wrong and she said that some virus got her but she promised that she would be fine. I waited and waited, every day she looked worse and all her hair was gone. Every night I begged that my mom would be better, but it didn't help. One day a doctor said that I should say goodbye to mom, but I didn't understand why. My mom explained that she had something called cancer and that she have to sleep for a very long time, she said that she couldn't keep her promise but that I could"

And what did she say?"

"That I was never gonna cry when I hear "mom". And I still don't do it" Devan could feel the tears but chose to keep his feelings hidden, just when he managed to stop the tears Adelia came. "So, are we ready to go?"

"Ok" Lilith said and walked with her to the taxi.

"I'm coming" I managed to say without sounding tearful. When I was about to go, my phone started to ring, I checked it and saw that this time, it wasn't Mark.
