A trick, but how?

Devan looked confused, no one had his phone number but Mark. He answered, at first it was quiet and he thought that someone was fake calling but then it started to talk. "Hello there boy, you missed me?"

"Who is this?"

"You don't remember me? Well let me clear it out, "no one does". Do you remember now?" Devan could feel the anger, of course he knew the man. "Listen here you fucker, I want to kill you so bad that I am near to throw my phone away!"

"Oh don't do that, you are never gonna afford a new phone"

"Don't you worry about me, I am gonna get a loot of money when people hear that you are dead and that I killed you"

"Is it so serious? Wow I am awesome at my job! And by the way you are never gonna catch me anyway, I am gonna kill you and you are gonna suffer, just like you little daddy"

"Where are you so I can rip your face off!"

"Oh I tell you, just follow my orders"

"How do I know that you are not gonna hurt me?"

"Take a chance" and then he turn off. Devan was determined to find him, so he waited. After a little while he got a message, it says that he would go home. The taxi Adelia and Lilith took was already gone, so Devan had to call another. Just after the taxi came he got a new message, "Turn on the radio" when he got in the taxi he said to the driver to turn on the radio. He got a new message, "Did you like your dad? Of course you did, he is in heaven now. Well I suppose you like your little girl and even that dinosaur. Hey I know what could be fun, why don't they join your father in heaven?" When Devan saw the last of the message the radio came up with police news, it says that there where a crash with two taxi's. Devan could feel the fear, did he really do that? "Eh excuse me, I changed my mind can you take me where the crash is?"

"All right, but you are paying extra". When Devan arrived, he saw many TV reporters. One of them said something about a little girl and a woman, he got stressed and started to run. When he came closer he was stopped from one of cobs, that was the one cob that arrested him. "Well look who we have here, isn't it mister killing machine?"

"Hey dude lis-"

"Don't call me dude!"

"Ok, ok! I am just asking what happened here?"

"Well there was a crash with two taxi's, one with a woman inside and the other a little girl" Devan just realized that Adelia and Lilith was in the same taxi when they left, the man tricked him. But how did he know? Did he maybe plan this out? "It is a tragedy, I know, so where are your company?"

"They are at home, safe and happy, we went to visit her mom's grave"

""And everything was alright?"

"Yes" the cob didn't seem to trust Devan, "ok then, you go home now and let me do my job". Devan left the place and went home, when he arrived he open the door to Lilith's room. "Oh hey godfather! Did you hear the news today? There was a crash with two taxi's, it was terrible! I was hopping it wasn't you"

"Yeah, yeah see you later!"

"Ok bye!" Devan closed the door and was on the stairs when Adelia stopped him, "you know that she worried very much for you, you should be happy that someone still doing it". She then walked away and Devan stood on the stairs for a long time, then he turned around and continued to go.
