Lloyd had been preoccupied over the last few days with his new guest that came in the form of Fitzroy's niece. She had been brought to them during the early hours of the morning after their dinner with Denny and Suzanne, with her husband keeping her under guard at headquarters. Autumn wondered whether to visit her, just to try and put the teens mind at ease, but hadn't yet voiced it to her husband.
The request was bound to be denied.
"Lloyd, are you treating her well? Be honest". Autumn said before he went out of the door one morning.
He snorted. "Course I am, she's being fed and watered, and I've given her a book of ABC's".
She rolled her eyes at this. "She's a child. Not a pet. Please, treat her well".
"Well, he ain't finding her anyway. Don't worry Auty, I'm not gonna be torturing her. Just keeping her locked up until I decide what to do with her".
"Can I at least visit the poor girl. She's probably scared, maybe I could take her something to read? To eat? Oh god you're not lacing her food with drugs..."
"I'm not! Geez Auty, look you can see her but not for long. Maybe enough time to make the kid stop snivelling". He told her, heading out of the door before she could protest any further.
Since Denny had given her a spare key to Lloyd's office, she had been in two minds as to going snooping. In truth, she was scared about what she could possibly find out, but then again was there anything else about him that could shock her anymore?
Autumn made some sandwiches later on and made her way to headquarters. Lloyd had gone out to a meeting and wouldn't be home for dinner, so it was just her flying solo again for that evening.
She paused as she contemplated about going to Lloyd's office. "Don't let curiosity kill you". Denny's words rang in her mind.
If Lloyd was hiding anything, then how bad could it be other than what she had seen and experienced so far?
He could be lying.
Autumn didn't know what she should do, but the key that was concealed in her drawer was calling for her to go to Lloyd's office and find out once and for all.
Later...
Right now, she had to pay a visit to Donald's niece, and hopefully assure the teen that her husband wasn't about to do anything drastic for once.

The two armed guards stood silently outside of the room that Fitzroy's niece was being kept in. Autumn rolling her eyes. "Really? Armed? What do you think she's going to do?"
"Not her. An intruder". The guard replied and opened the door, letting Autumn pass.
The girl who was on the bed now stood up and backed away. "It's alright. I'm not here to hurt you. I brought you something to eat just in case the food isn't nice".
"Oh...thanks..." the girl said quietly.
"I have some books from our library too, if you wanted something to read".
The girl approached cautiously and looked at the books that she had brought her. "Why are you dressed like a Stepford Wife?" She now asked, taking in Autumn's attire.
