Chapter 07: Between The Truths In The Lies

A/N - A little confirmation to everyone regarding Thana's and Win's relationship because last chapter stirred up some questions regarding Thana messing with Bright and Win 😂 So Thana and Win have met each other a lot of times before the last chapter and Win actually know Thana as Bright's best friend. But the thing Win didn't know was that Thana is Bright's ex. Which is what Thana took as the point to stirr the soup up 🌚 Win and Thana are already close as least a little before this and the reason Thana introduced herself to Win was a plain joke because Bright insisted Thana to say Win's name instead of saying "Bright's boyfriend". I wanted to fit in a conversation between Win and Thana before the last chapter but as this is a short story and I had to give time skips, I just couldn't fit it in. And y'all, not just Thana but the whole department of Special Police knows Win given that Bright and Win have been dating for 6 months and given the fact that Win was practically living there with Bright 🤓 Hope that clarifies.

P.S - Please spare Thana, she is feisty but a sweetheart 😂❤

"We are fucked up. The Intelligence is here."

Bright could feel Win's hand going numb and cold at his words and he looked at Bright in horror.

"W-what?"

Those words came out stumbling as Win's throat went dry and Bright gulped as he took a deep breath.

They have to stay calm and figure things out quickly as possible unless all of them wanted to end up in the interrogation room getting tortured the wits out.

Mew's eyes still lingered on Win for a moment before realizing the panic in boy's eyes which was more than proof for Win knew nothing about this and as for Gulf, he was rather calm than expected.

Either he was too scared to react or knew nothing about the consequences at all and Mew guessed it was more of the latter and a small amount of the other.

"I think you guys should get going. I will handle it here."

Was the first thing Mew said and then he added.

"Take Gulf with you."

"No Mew-"

Gulf's words were cut in mid air when Mew gave him a look warning keeping no space for an argument but his attention turned to Bright who spoke with a little tremble in his voice.

"I don't think that is possible because I am sure they saw me and Gulf while we strolled around. How about you and Win go ahead? Me and Gulf will pretend that Gulf wanted to come here for an observation for one of his films or something?"

It almost came out as a question and all of them knew that it didn't sound much convincing but Mew had to give to Bright for coming up with something so quick. It was better than nothing anyway.

"Won't they be coming in soon?"

This time Gulf's voice sounded nervous and they guessed it was when everything registered in Gulf's mind properly.

"They won't be coming in bargaining. They will observe the surroundings before they come in. Mew, where are your vehicles placed?"

"It is a bit far from here. We have a factory nearby and they are parked there. So it won't be suspicious."

"So basically they don't know for sure you are here."

Bright concluded but that left him with another question.

"Then what did they come for?"

He asked again and Win who hasn't spoken for a while spoke as he stared at the phone.
