𝗛𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗦,

Something just happened right now.
I was just taught (in spirit) 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡.
Something happened at home and I was engaged in a conversation with my siblings on an issue. One of them then said,
"We are who we are. We cannot change it. It's our nature."
That's 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡.
And guess what? It's everywhere. The voices hit us in all manner of forms. The talk of people. The media. Our thoughts. I must also confess here, I slip up on these too. Sometimes I fall in this war. But we keep rising and moving.
Immediately, 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡 came to the rescue with,
"No. That's NOT who we are. We are NOT (the negative attribute). I am NOT (the negative attitude)."
But here's the sweeter part!
Suddenly, I heard this voice.
"𝗕𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. 𝗛𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲."
Damn straight REBEL my Father is.
I immediately switched my language.
We are (the positive attitude). I am (the positive attribute).
𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚!
I checked up that voice again. It sounded like a quote from scripture I read growing up in the church. It was exactly from (𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟰:𝟭𝟳).
Here's how the Amplified Version of the Holy Bible translated that quote.
(𝗛𝗲) 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 [𝗛𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱] 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 [𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆] 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱.

I have the gene of the 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟 in my bones. My Father didn't leave me weaponless. He gave me the 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡!
Me, I'll keep 𝗥𝗘𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 and 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗗𝗟𝗬 doing it. I've walked this far to know not to give my freedom away. I'm owning this path with my chest out.
