"If I have another muffin, I'm going to turn into one." Mumbled Cayetana as she stood alongside Cristina and Meredith.
"At least your only problem is muffins, not having the whole hospital thinking think you're a whore." Cristina said, causing Meredith and Cat to laugh.
"You three have time to round or are you too busy getting naked on hospital property?" Bailey questioned.
"Como que naked, i wasn't naked." Cayetana replied slight offended as the three followed behind Bailey.
"I wasn't... I wasn't naked," Cristina stuttered.
The four met up with the rest of the interns outside a patient room. When they walked in the patient despite having a scheduled surgery was eating cake. She laughed hysterically as she spoke about the fact that though she was a healthy body, she had lung cancer. Cayetana felt bad for the women, but even worse for herself. She was supposed to scrub in on that surgery.
Walking out of the patient's room, the interns shoved O'Malley towards Dr.Bailey. Sure Cayetana was probably Bailey's favorite but something about George made everyone care for him. He was like a lost puppy and who could say no to a lost puppy.
But the worst thing about a lost puppy? They scare easily. Karev ended up being the one to ask Bailey as he lashed out in frustration.
"I mean Dr. Bailey it seems like a waste for all her talent to go into muffins." Cayetana said as the interns nodded in agreement.
"Stop...Talking." Bailey said before turning away and walking towards the next patients room.
The next patient was a man with a tumor pressing on his frontal lobe, because of it he had no filter. Everything he said came out his mouth.
"Look the hot intern. Now I'm not straight but I might just be for you." Benjamin said staring straight at Cayetana.
Cayetana awkwardly smiled, sure she wasn't a stranger to compliments but when in front of her foster older brother and her boss, it's quite uncomfortable.
"Benjamin O'Leary, 32. In for the removal of a brain tumor that's pushing on his frontal temporal lobe. Clearly it's affecting his impulse control." Cristina said a grin plastered on her face.
"It makes me sad everything I think, which apparently is annoying. This doctor looks annoyed anyway. Although it's hard to tell, cause she always has kind of a pinched uptight look on her face. Am I annoying you?" Benjamin asked.
Cristina dismissed him and Benjamin later went on to comment on Derek and Meredith's gaze at one another, and how they should just hump each other now. The interns struggled to stifle their laughs but soon they left the room.
"I'm proud of you all. You make me proud. You reflect on me well. Grey, if you think you can keep you clothes on long enough to follow up the labs, I'd appreciate it. Karev and Santi, you two are covering in the pit." Bailey said, struggling to praise the interns.
"The pit? Wait, I'm off Gynie squad?" Alex asked excitedly.
"Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd is out sick today You can cover the pit where you can... you can tell me who's damn panties are on the bulletin board?" Bailey said, rage coursing through her veins.
"Are those yours?" Cristina and Cayetana ask Meredith simultaneously.
"This is a hospital, people. serious work happens here. we save lives here." Bailey turned to Alex, hearing his laughter. "oh, is something funny? whose are these?"
Bailey began walking towards the women, "I know it's one of you. It's always one of mine. Always. So, tell me. Which one of you left your damn drawers on my surgical floor?"
""Oh no, did I leave my underwear lying around again? I'm so sorry bailey. it's my bad." Callie said awkwardly grabbing the panties and shoving them into her pocket.
"You so owe Callie one." Cayetana said before walking with Karev to the pit.
Alex and Cat were on their way to the ambulance entrance, Callie in front of them, each one tying their trauma gown.
"So, you and O'malley, huh? how'd that happen?" Alex questioned.
"i don't know. you're a surgeon, how'd that happen?" Callie retorted
Cat smirked at her friends response.
"Karev, she's a resident, she outranks you. you don't get to ask personal questions," Bailey said sternly.
"It's fine Dr. Bailey," Callie reassured.
"He's my intern, I say it's not fine. Is that clear?" Bailey spoke.
Alex paused, "N o."
Callie grabbed Cats hand and pulled her away from the explosion soon to come. The two met with the paramedics It was an intense sight, a fourteen year old had landed on some tree trimmings, a massive branch lodged in him, it poking through him.
"Santi grab the IV bag, stay with me." Callie said as she assisted with the patient.

It was a long surgery, Cayetana had been assigned to assist Callie with anything she may need.
The surgery was quite awkward with Alex using any chance he could to mention Izzie to Dr.Bailey.
Sure Cat agreed that Bailey should speak to Izzie but that doesn't mean to completely disrespect Bailey and undermine her authority until she does what they want. It's unfair.
Luckily the surgery ended after 4 grueling hours and Cayetana went home, away from all the daytime stress.
As Cayetana cooked, someone knocked on her door.
"Coming!" She yelled, only for the knocking to get louder and faster.
"Joder! Ya voy!" She yelled rushing to the door.
"Can't you wait- Derek?" Cayetana asked surprised to see him there.
"Our marriage literally just ended and she calls up Mark! Like seriously!" Yelled Derek as he entered the apartment, ranting angrily.
"Wait- Derek you make no sense?" Cayetana asked confused.
"Addison! I went to apologize for the ending of our marriage and there she was in a robe after fucking Mark! And then she gives me the eyes like she's the victim! How dare she! " Derek yelled.
"Stop yelling! Derek, all three of you made mistakes. Now do I agree that your mistakes are as bad as Mark and Addison? No, but that doesn't mean you can get mad at her for having sex with someone else when you had sex with Meredith. And as for your marriage just ending, don't lie. We both know that your marriage ended the night you caught Addison with Mark in Seattle." Cayetana said calmly.
Derek took a breathe, "You're right. It's just when I saw Mark in her room rage filled me."
"Then call Mark a whore, lord knows he is."
Derek laughed. The two spent the night catching up and everything they haven't.
"Hey you know I'm gonna be doing a corpus callosotomy pretty soon, you should scrub in, it's time I teach my protégé a little something."
"Are you serious! I'm so in." Cayetana said ecstatically.
"Great, I'll let you know the day of."
"You are the best. When you want to be."
With all the chaos in their lives they never really had the time to talk about anything other than work or Meredith. They missed each others company, they were just too stubborn to say so.
