𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘛𝘸𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘦
Cayetana was currently on her fourteenth hour of her shift. She had spent the whole shift teaching all her interns in the ER, well all except Lexie Grey.
"Whitlock what type of stitch would be suitable for this cut?" Cayetana asked as she prepped the skin.
" A subcuticular stitch."
"Correct, Vasquez why are we stitching and not stapling?" Cayetana asked as she began suturing the skin.
"Be-Because It's a deep cut and stitches would cause minor tearing in the skin."
"Exactly," Cayetana said as she continued to stitch the patient up. Her interns surrounded her, examining her perfect stitches.
"Dr. Santi, we have a patient with severe sunburn, complaining of muscle pain and another who needs stitches immediately." A nurse said handing an intern the file.
"Okay um, Vasquez and Whitlock stay with our patient here, dress the sutures and then prep them for discharge. Wellington and Hart go meet the patient, do the preliminaries, I need to get another suture kit but I'll be back." The resident ordered. Cayetana searched in the supply closet, grabbing an IV kit and suture kit.
As she walked out she bumped into Sloan. "Sloan, Hi."
"Do you know where they keep the IV kits in here?" Sloan asked as he looked around. "And where the hell are all the damn interns? Do you have yours?"
"I have all my interns but one. Little Grey." Cayetana said, grabbing another IV kit for Sloan.
"Little Grey?" He asked confused.
"One of the interns is Meredith's sister. Follows O'Malley around like a lost puppy." Cayetana explained, hoping to build him a picture.
"Oh, yeah I don't care much for interns."
"Trust me, I know." Cayetana said remembering her shitty Sloan treated Karev in their intern year.
"Dr. Sloan. Little Genius." Derek said, finding the two talking in the supply closet.
Cayetana laughed at the name Little Genius, Since her arrival back the nickname seem to have spread around the hospital. Cayetana knew she had Mark and his big mouth to thank, considering he was the first one to call her that.
"I needed some medical supplies. Found the resident in the supply closet. Did not invite the resident into the supply closet." Mark explained, avoiding all eye contact from Cat.
"Okay weirdos, I've got to go." Cayetana said leaving the supply closet.
Mark starred as Cayetana left, Derek giving him a glare.
