I am fucked and definitely not in a good way.
I have been royally screwed by the fates and on any other day, I'd have given them a big and double middle finger to the sky but now, the joke's on me.
Not them.
I paced up and down my cell. It was tiny, and littered with at least five skulls, three rib cages and then nothing. Every time I tried mapping the space, I'd bump into the wall and have to lean my head against whatever I could find.
Why had the Alpha sentenced me to the dungeons?
Couldn't he see that everything I had done was all for him?
''Take. Change into this,'' Dowen said as he threw the sack clothes at me.
He had brought a lantern with him, placing it close to his feet and not allowing me have full range of the light. Still it was better than nothing, all I had done was grope in the dark, sharpen at least five bones of one of the prisoners into makeshift weapons and curse the moon goddess.
That was something I did everyday and just doing it again, even in this situation had brought a sense of comfort despite how small it was.
It was all her fault I was in this mess. If only that woman hadn't walked into our pack with her bright eyes and all-round lovable personality, I wouldn't have had to do what I did.
Sadly, the only thing left for me to do is wallow in my anger or curse the moon goddess.
I chose the second option.
''Hurry up, Miriam! I don't have time to waste here.'' He banged on the bars, shooting me a glare as if I was not already suffocated enough by the hatred from his pheromones.
The moment I got out of this prison and assumed my birthright, I was coming for him most of all. He watched as I crawled to the sack clothes, not moving from his spot even as I attempted to remove my clothes. He was shameless. Even going so far as licking his lips as I pulled my singlet away from my body, lecherously enjoying what he would have called a strip tease.
Disgusting, all of the men from my pack where disgusting. But not the Alpha, though as I moved through the motions, disassociating her mind from what was happening, I couldn't help but wonder if the man wasn't also disgusting.
I shook my head. It wasn't right to be thinking of him that way. He wasn't disgusting, just not privileged enough to lead a pack full of upright men.
Dowen again banged his fists against the walls when he noticed I wasn't moving as quickly as he would have wanted. Of course I wasn't. I had been beaten, tortured with water and it was the full moon. My wolf was bristling at not been able to come out, the wolfsbane that coated the iron bars making it worse.
All in all, both of us were exhausted and even the motion of slipping my head through the sack shirt was proving much to difficult for me.
''The next time I shout, I promise, I'll personally end you. Move it.''
He hit the wall again, and I jumped, the chains making a rattling sound before I nodded.
Another clothing piece dropped on the ground alerting me to the other party in the room. I looked up, finding Luke, the Beta of her park, a sneer decorating his face. The piece was outside my cell, meaning I would need to thrust my hand through the wolfsbane coated metal and reach for it. I looked into his eyes, the swirly black inked pool stared back at her and I hissed.
''What's the matter, Luna Miriam? Pick it.''
''Have your fun now, Beta Luke. The moment the Alpha realizes that he's wrong to put me here and what I did was for the good of the pack, I'm coming for your head.''
