The next night
"Let's go out Sara." I begged holding onto her arm.
"I don't want to." She laughed brushing me off of her."Come on." I whined. "I need a wing woman."
"I thought you said you dont need a man right now?" She laughed.
"I don't, but I need you to help keep the creeps off me." I explained.
"Speaking of creeps, have you talked to Eddie?" She asked.
"I don't think he's a creep, well..." I said suggestively.
"Well?""Well I tried finding him on Instagram but I couldn't. Nothing came up." I explained.
"Nothing?" She asked raising her brow."Nothing. I tried Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok. Hell I even tried Facebook." I laughed.
"Maybe he is a creep then.""I don't know, last time we were at the bar I didn't even see him pull his phone out or anything." I laughed sitting on the edge of her bed.
"But he gave you his number?" She asked."Yeah."
"Plug it in, see if it's green text or blue."
"Not the green text." I laughed. "I tried, it's blue.""Good." She laughed.
"Could you do my hair tonight?" I asked."Fine."
-
"I have a feeling he'll be there tonight." I said applying glue to my lashes."How so?" Sara asked.
"Because Ellie told me it's gonna be another rock theme tonight at the bar.""So you're gonna fall for another metal head?" She asked yanking my hair back.
"Fuck-"
"No I'm not." I laughed."Sure." She laughed.
-
"Are you sure you don't want to go in with me?" I asked as we pulled into the bar."No I'm good. Just text me when you want to go home." Sara smiled looking over at me.
"You look great tonight," she added. "I hope Eddie is there."
Yeah, I hope so too. I thought to myself.
I got out of the car, closing the door I waved by to Sara. The cold wind brushed against my legs, walking to the door I took a deep breath in. I knew the risk, if Billy was in there he would cause a scene. But I knew I shouldn't be scared anymore. I had to live my life and try to gain it back.
I opened the bar door, looking straight at the bar I didn't want to make eye contact with anyone. The sound of I Was Made For Loving You by Kiss bounced off the bar walls.
Ellie smiled at me as I walked over.
"Hello beautiful." She greeted me."Hi, how's your night going?" I asked sitting on the seat.
"Don't sit down too fast." She suggested nudging her eyes towards the left.I looked over my shoulder, I saw Eddie standing by the corner with the pool tables. It seemed as if he watched me walk through the bar, his eyes were locked on mine. Sipping slowly on his drink he set it down on the table.
I took his glance as an invite. I looked over at Ellie and smiled.
"I thought you said no more metal heads." She laughed resting her palms on the edge of the bar."It's nothing." I suggested.
"Nothing yet." She laughed as I stood up.I looked over at her for a moment, sending a playful wink her way I looked back at Eddie. Who still kept his eyes on me.
"What are you doing here?" He asked as I walked up towards him.
"Figured you would be here." I said suggestively.
"I'm only here on certain nights." He edged on.
