Mr. Clarke - "Max? This is a surprise. What are you doing here?"

Max - "May I come in?"

Mr. Clarke - "Of course. Come in."

Max - "Thank you."

Mr. Clarke - "Max, are you okay?"

Max - "No. Do you ever feel like you're cursed?"

Mr. Clarke - "Don't you want to talk to Miss Kelly about this?"

Max - "No I don't want to talk to her, I want to talk to you."

Mr. Clarke - "Okay. I'm sorry but where is all this coming from?"

Max - "....Ever since my step brother, Billy died, everything for me is not going well. My step-dad left us and my mom's working 2 jobs. She can't handle it and now she drinks more and yesterday while I was going to school....I saw an accident and the person that was injured....was Lucas. He's in a coma and the doctors say he may never wake up again. I think I'm the curse. Everyone I love, I hurt."

Mr. Clarke - "Max, I'm sorry about Billy and everything else that you're going through right now but you are not the cause of this. You are not cursed. Bad things happen to people almost every day and when other people see that happening, they think that something horrible will happen to them or like you said, cursed. Max, you're not cursed, you've just been through a lot of terrible things in your life. You need to stop thinking you're cursed and stay positive. Especially for Lucas. Alright?"

Max - "Okay. Thank you, Mr. Clarke."

Mr. Clarke - "You're welcome."
