eunsoo pov

"did you hurt yourself badly?"

"huh? oh yeah, i'm okay" i tell the guy who's helping me up.

i'm in the gym practicing my abilities after new years. i forced myself too hard and fell on my knees.

"oh, eunsoo?" he asks me taking notice of my appearance.

i have no idea who he is, how does he know my name?

"yeah... who are you?" i ask him confused.

"we're in the same history class" he says obviously.

"oh sorry, my eyesight is not the best" i chuckle nervously.

"you should get that checked out, you're bleeding" he points at the scratches on my knees.

i look at them and my eyes widened. i didn't think they were gonna bleed since it doesn't sting.

"i didn't notice they were bleeding. i should go now then" i sigh.

"wait! i didn't get your name!" i shout at the guy who was now walking away.

"jung jaehyun" he says turned around but still walking away. he gave me a smirk and a wink before turning back around.

"what in the world..."

was jaehyun's intention to become my friend or something?

he's stuck like a sticker to me. i mean, it's not a bad thing, it was just so sudden. nobody really approaches me because i look mean. even my brother's said that to me.

i'm so glad jaehyun became my friend though. now, i have somebody to confide in and ask for help if i need it.

unfortunately, tomorrow is his birthday. that means he's getting sent to his section and i won't see him for about three months. i can't really complain because at least we're in the same section. i wish jungkook was in my section though. i'd get to daydream about him even more.

jaehyun and i became so close that we basically know almost everything about each other. we've met each others families as well. he has a brother named jake, and he met my brother, sunghoon, too. he even knows that i have a crush on jungkook which is kind of embarrassing because they both like to play basketball together. so, i avoid being near jungkook when i'm with jaehyun.

i had arrived at my section.

i was a little shocked to find jaehyun hanging out with y/n's lunch group. but at the same time, i was very glad to see him because that means we'll still be as close as we were before.

some months later.

jaehyun and i got as close as we were before we got separated for a few months. i can now say i have my best friend back and i couldn't be happier. we talk about some of the same things and some new things.

he even asked me if i still had a crush on jungkook but, this time, i told him i wasn't sure since it's been a long time since i've seen jungkook.

but i'm okay with that.

i feel like everything always goes right with jaehyun so i don't need anybody else.

as of now, we're at training camp as trainees. jaehyun and i got the same base camp in the fire section.
