SEVEN: Sooner Than We Expected

Third PoV

After visiting the arcade and going for karaoke, their date is already coming to an end. But as long as the sun hasn't set yet, there's still chances for unexpected things to happen.

Holding hands with each other as they walked side by side, they let their feet take them wherever and they passed by a quiet neighborhood park and they decided that it would be a good place to just sit down and enjoy a peaceful time as the sun begins to set.

They sat down on a bench and there was a moment of silence before Choso spoke up. "About what I said earlier.." Ayako looks beside her and at him. He continues, "I hope I didn't make you feel.." he sighs, "I don't know, uncomfortable maybe?" He knew that she chose him to date, but he still doesn't know the reason why.

So getting ideas that this could turn into something more and serious between them was just a fleeting dream of his. He contained his growing feelings that he knows he shouldn't have in the first place since this relationship is purely contractual. Both gains something from each other and that's simply why they're together.

And if one of them completely gets what he/she wanted, the contract can be broken at any time.

"No, you didn't make me feel uncomfortable." She said. "I think I get what you meant when you specifically asked me those questions earlier and..." she gets quiet all of a sudden and Choso wondered why she stopped talking, but when he leaned down and glanced at her, she was shyly twirling her index fingers around with a bashful expression on her face.

"B-but!" He got startled a bit by the rise in her voice. She sharply turns towards him, "A-are you really... really!" A blush was forming on her cheeks and he couldn't help but notice that as she tried to piece words together. "Doyouhavefeelingsforme?!" She spoke way too fast that he didn't quite catch what it was but, he looks like he knew what she wanted to know.

"I do." He answered honestly. "And since you gave me the chance to say what I've been hiding, I won't let this chance go to waste." He picks her hand up and held it with his hand, "I like you, Ayako." Hearing him say that... no, hearing someone say that they like her was new to her.

Nobody has ever confessed that they liked her and made her heart race. "Why? Can't you see that I'm using your weakness to keep you around? I'm just.. using you." Even though she said that, he didn't falter. "You're not a bad person, Ayako. You're just misunderstood and you're looking for someone to see you for who you are. Even if you deny it, your eyes surely tells me otherwise."

He places his hand on the right side of her face and gently stroked her cheek, "You don't have to appear as what those people rumored you to be." He paused for a moment to notice how she was holding back her tears. He felt bad that she's been lonely all this time and has no one that she can lean on for support.

"Ayako, I want to be your boyfriend. For real this time."

"Will you let me?" He asked her, eyes looking at her softly. "I.." she blinks and tears flowed down, "Why am I..crying." she weakly laughs and wipes those tears but, he did it first and he did it in a careful manner. "You really..." she sighs and she couldn't contain a smile from showing, "You're really weird." He chuckles and she laughed at what she said.

"I mean, no one's ever said those things to me before. No one really bothered to look at me the way you do." She puts her hand on top of his, "And you confessing and wanting to be my boyfriend means that you want to discard the contract and make this real, right?" He nodded, "Yes." He replied.

She dives into his arms, "Then what are we waiting for!?" She exclaimed. Choso wraps his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, "I'll prove myself to you that I'm worthy of being your boyfriend." He whispered to her before planting a kiss on her cheek.

She pulls away from the hug, "I'm not saying you have to worry about my parents buuut, I think you should." She shrugs, "But worry about it later. I'll be with you as we face my parents soon." She smiles before leaning close to his face and kissing him on the lips.

Ayako's PoV
Few weeks later

I'm still on my bed even when I woke up an hour ago. Classes are still hours later and I've got plenty of time to kill. Problem is, I don't know what to do for the whole free time I have. I groaned and rolled on my bed for a while before stopping when I suddenly heard my phone ringing.

I reached my hand out to pick it up and answer the call. I looked at the caller ID and I have never wanted to block a number so fast. I didn't have a choice but to answer the call.

"Hello.. father."

Choso's PoV
A few hours later

Just a few more minutes before this lecture ends. I can't wait for it to end so I can give Ayako a call. Now that I noticed, she's been on my mind since then. Is this what it's like when I finally have my special someone? This feels... really nice.

My phone suddenly buzzed and I took my phone out of my pocket, seeing that Ayako was calling me. But she always calls me as soon as my class is over, so why is she calling me earlier than usual?

I answered it anyways and I put the phone to my left ear, "Sorry that I called way earlier but this is an emergency." I heard the slight fear and nervousness in her voice which made me worry if something bad happened.

"My dad wants to meet you."
