FOURTEEN: Something... Forbidden

Third PoV

Weeks passed and it is now the day before the wedding day. They— Ayako and Suguru are currently staying in separate rooms in different floors to prevent.. something from happening between them before the big day. It seems like you have an idea of what that "thing" is, don't you?

But rest assured, that will certainly not happen to them.

Since they finally have a room to themselves, they were able to freely do what they want. In Ayako's room, she's...

"I said Top! Not bottom, you idiot! You should be thankful that I managed to clutch this round to cover up for your incompetence, you amateur! Why do you even pla–" Alright that's enough for now.

In Suguru's room...

"I'm still getting the hang of this game, give me a break! It's people like you who ruin the experience for begi– wait.. is that you aya–" before the man could finish his sentence, he mysteriously lagged out of the game and he was left dumbfounded with the weird yet funny coincidence of still meeting Ayako even in a game.

He softly chuckles at the interaction with her and decided to let it pass, also gaining information on Ayako that she's a really competitive gamer. He certainly didn't expect that from her which made it even more surprising when he found out about it in this way.

His phone suddenly rings— the phone he has is a new phone that Ayako personally bought for him since for some odd reason he wasn't allowed to use a phone by his mom. Perhaps to prevent anyone from contacting him from anyone in his hometown.

He answered the call and he heard Satoru's voice but, something was strange about him. "Satoru?" He calls the man's name but he didn't answer back. He was hearing noises, weird noises that he's somewhat familiar with.

The only confirmation about what was going on on the other line happened and Suguru hears a woman's voice and indecent language coming from probably both of them.

His heart sank to his stomach as his phone slips from his hand when he lost the strength to hold it and listen to his boyfriend cheating on him while accidentally calling him.

He couldn't bear to unwillingly listen to it so he ended the call and tossed the phone far away on the bed. Why? That was the word circulating in his mind right now as he had a blank look on his face.

They were fine last time when they talked to each other, so why would Satoru do something like that behind Suguru's back like this? It clearly didn't make any sense.

His mind suddenly drifts to Ayako and what she'd possibly do when she finds out that Satoru cheated on Suguru. No, he thought of what she might do to Satoru when she finds out about him cheating.

But he felt hopeless and empty that he couldn't even think straight, going for his phone again to call Ayako.

"Pick up.. please... I need you.."

Ayako's PoV

I was having fun blasting my way to victory four times in a row when all of a sudden my phone lights up and it showed Suguru's name on the caller ID.

Thankfully I just finished the whole round with a victory and I quit the game to answer his call. As soon as I put my phone close to my ear I could hear him already close to crying.
