Ayako's PoV

"So how did your first night go with Suguru?" My father asked almost immediately when I sat down on my seat for breakfast. I groaned in annoyance, "I'd rather not talk about a man so early in the morning, dad. It ruins my appetite." I replied in a brutally honest way.

I almost didn't get enough sleep as I was explaining and also convincing Suguru to agree with my plan and act it out without showing any opportunities for suspicion from both of our families. Surprisingly, he was very cooperative with it. Well, I did promise him that he'll be together with Satoru, love really does make someone do anything. I guess what I'm doing now is for Choso too.

Enough about that for now, I should focus on the first phase of the plan. "Dad." He hums. "I'd like to pick out my wedding dress this afternoon." He almost choked on his food after hearing me say that. He was coughing and I handed him his glass of water. "You can schedule one, right? Oh, and I'll be going with Suguru." I added.

"You two seem to like each other very quickly. This is surprising." He says, and I could sense a hint of doubt in his voice. "He seems to be a good and honest man. And I like obedience in a man." I replied nonchalantly.

He nods, "I taught you well. I'm proud of you, my dear daughter." I shrug, "I'll go back to my room and prepare." I stood up. "I'll send you the reservation once I finish this." I nodded, "Thank you, dad." I walk off and headed to the elevator and went up to my floor.

As I stood alone in the elevator, I thought of Choso who I haven't contacted since then. It pains me to admit but that's part of the plan. He needs to be hurt and hate me for what I supposedly did to him which is "breaking" his heart.

The elevator dings and the doors open and I walked out, heading to my shared room with Suguru. I opened the door and I caught him just coming out of the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist.

I blankly stared at him for a few seconds before moving and walking to my bed. "Geez, you hurt my ego. Not even a reaction?" He asked as he was getting dressed. "No. I'm not interested in any other man except one. I believe that it's the same for you too." I turned around, "Or is your relationship with Satoru a different one?" I asked.

"It's a little... messy. Before he and I got together, we're both a "lady's man" until we realized that women aren't exactly what makes our hearts beat. Then we met at a party and the rest is history." He answered as he was putting sweatpants on and a loose white t-shirt.

I lightly scoffed, "So it's your womanizer trait coming out earlier." He weakly chuckled, "I yield. Guilty as charged. But in all honesty, you're very charming but you also give off the aura of being untouchable."

"That's old news to me. I don't really care about that anymore. Someone sees me for who I really am and that's enough for me than plenty of people who perceive me wrong." I answered. "Alright, alright. But we have to work on our chemistry to make our own parents believe us." He mentioned a good point that I can't simply brush off to the side.
