What If Dale Died After Saving Chip?

A/N there is blood mentioned in this story.

A scream erupted out of Chip's throat as he saw the body of his little brother hitting the ground with a loud thud. Chip's paws shook as he gently lifted up his brothers head into his lap.

Chip gasped at the bullet that was now  inside Dale's chest blood began to pour out from his little brothers wound. Chips eyes widen with fear as tears fell from his eyes.

Chip tried to wake up his brother but Dale's eyes remained shut. Tears fell faster from Chip's eyes as he tried to wake up his brother however Dale's eyes remained closed no matter what Chip tried to do.

Chip's breathing became erratic as he saw more blood coming out of his brothers wound. He tried to find anything he could to stop the bleeding however nothing could be found.

Chip gently pulled his brother closer towards his chest and laid his chin on top of Dale's head. The black nosed chipmunk's whole body shook as his breathing became more erratic than before.

A voice came in the distance something that sounded like his name however, Chip couldn't make out who it belonged to he was too focused on his little brother to care about who was calling him.

Chip flinched as a paw rested on his shoulder he could hear voices but they sounded so far away and his vision started to become blurry the only thing he could see was his little brothers body that was still close to his chest.

Suddenly someone was pulling the body away from him Chip hissed warning the other person to back off but his warning was ignored as he felt Dale's body slowly being taken away from him no matter how much he tried to hold onto him.

Chip looked up and saw a blurry figure that was much taller than him he could also see Dale in their hold Chip stood up trying to go after the person that had his brother but was held back by another figure.

Chip let out a sob and tried to fight the person that was now holding onto his shoulders "let me go!" Chip shouted as he desperately tried to shove the person off.

However Chip soon became too tired to fight off the person holding him and stopped trying to escape their hold. Then he was suddenly pulled into a hug despite not knowing who the person holding him was Chip hugged them back as he began to break down.

Sobs racked his body and a sudden wave of guilt hit him and suddenly he realized this was all his fault.

He heard a gentle voice speak "shh, it's not your fault Chip." The voice spoke as a paw began to rub his back trying to calm him down and slowly Chip was able to recognize who the voice belonged to.

"G-Gadget?" Chip asked in disbelief and began to hug her tighter afraid that she wasn't really there.

"Yeah it's me Chip I got you. It's gonna be ok." Gadget said in a calm tone trying to remain strong for her friend.

"I-Is Dale?" Chip asked as he held onto his friend tighter.

It took a few minutes for Gadget to answer "I'm so sorry Chip." Gadget said as her voice cracked and tears began to fell from her eyes.

Chip suddenly let go of Gadget and ended up falling backwards his eyes widen as more tears fell from his eyes. Chip sat up and tried desperately to find his little brother.

Chip felt Gadget kneel down beside him and  a paw rested on his left shoulder. "Chip? Chip! I need you to breathe for me ok? Chip!" Gadget said but Chip could hardly hear anything she had said.

Chip could feel himself falling to the floor and landing on his back suddenly his eyes rolled to the back of his head and the last thing he remembered was hearing Gadget's voice yelling his name.
