Chip isolated himself inside his room a lot more ever since Dale had moved into his home. And Dale was worried about his brother while he knew Chip liked alone time Dale also knew it wasn't healthy to isolate yourself.

Dale then realized that Chip was probably so used to being alone that he didn't know how to be around other people again.

Dale understood how Chip felt he too didn't really know how to be around Chip again. It was strange being friends with him again.

The two chipmunks had promised to tell each other everything again but Dale wasn't telling Chip everything going on in his life and he had a feeling that Chip didn't tell him everything that was going on in his life.

In fact Chip barley told him anything he'd hardly ever even talk to Dale and if Chip did he'd only say short responses and then proceeded to his room hiding in there the rest of the day.

Dale wanted to talk to his brother and hang out with him again but he was too afraid to bother him scared that Chip would yell at him and hit him upside the head for annoying him.

It was then that the door creaked open causing Dale to look up he saw Chip coming out of his bedroom. "Hey Chip!" Dale said excitedly waving at his brother. Chip sighed "hi." He said calmly as he made his way towards the kitchen to which Dale began to follow him.

"So, you wanna watch a movie or something?" Dale asked sitting down in the seat next to the kitchen table.

"No, I'm just gonna make some lunch and a cup of coffee then head back to my room." Chip said sternly as he grabbed a mug and placed it under the coffee maker.

"Oh..." Dale said in a disappointed tone and scratched the back of his head. "uh ok! You wanna do something later?" Dale asked with a hopeful look on his face.

Chip sighed as he grabbed his mug and took a sip of his coffee "no." Chip said as he grabbed some lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and ranch he then began to make himself a salad.

"Oh come on! You never hang out with me Chip! Ever since I moved in you've become more distant from me!" Dale said in an annoyed tone as he crossed his arms over his chest.

No response came from Chip instead Dale heard Chip let out a hiss which caused Dale to look at his brother.

"Ouch!" Chip muttered as he put the knife on his paw down. He looked at his now bleeding finger and sighed in annoyance.

"You okay Chipper?" Dale asked in a worried tone as he got up from the chair he was sitting in and made his way over to Chip.

"I'm fine!" Chip said in an irritated voice making Dale flinch. Chip noticed Dale flinch "sorry I didn't mean to yell at you." Chip said calmly as he grabbed a paper towel and wrapped it around his finger hoping to stop the bleeding.

Dale was surprised his brother hardly ever apologized "it's fine no need to apologize." Dale said waving off his brothers apology.

Chip rolled his eyes "whatever." He said and began to unwrap the paper towel and then proceeded to throw it away in the trash can. Chip then began to search for some bandaids.

"Where are those bandages?" Chip muttered under his breath with an annoyed look on his face "I know I put them in here." Chip said.

Dale watched as Chip looked for the bandaids and eventually he had found them he heard Chip let out a sigh of relief as he opened one of the bandaids and put it on his finger.

"You sure you're alright?" Dale asked worriedly.

"I'm fine." Chip says as he begins to finish making his salad.

Dale sighs sadly "are..you still mad at me for the whole double o Dale thing?" Dale asks and begins to play with his fingers.

Chip stops what he's doing and looks up at Dale with a confused look. "No why do you think that?" Chip asks as he focuses his attention back on making his lunch.

Dale sighs and rubs the back of his neck "well I just assumed you were because you never talk to me and you never wanna hang out with me since I moved in. It's like...it's like you want nothing to do with me." Dale says looking down at the ground feeling tears well up in his blue eyes.

"What?" Chip said in disbelief as feelings of guilt begin to rise up inside of him. "Hey, of course I talk to you I'm talking to you and we're hanging out together right now aren't we?" Chip said as Dale looked up at him.

"Yeah we are but...when we do talk you always give me short answers and we only hang out for a couple minutes before you retreat back to your bedroom." Dale says as he let out a sniffle.

Chip frowns feeling guilty for making his little brother cry. Chip walks up to Dale and placed his paws on his shoulders.

"I'm sorry Dale, I had no idea I was doing this. I guess I'm just so used to being alone that I sometimes forget you're here." Chip said.

Dale frowns "it's fine you don't have to apologize Chipper." Dale says.

"No, I need to make it up to you Dale how about we watch a movie like you wanted to do earlier? Chip suggested and smiled when Dale's tail began to wag.

"I'll take that as a yes." Chip said letting out a chuckle. "but first let me eat my lunch and then we can watch the movie." Chip says and his tail also starts to wag a bit.

Dale suddenly pulls Chip into a hug causing Chip to flinch at the sudden affection. However he soon returns the hug. After they pull away Chip grabs his plate and sits down and begins to eat his salad.

Once chip was finished with his lunch he and Dale made their way towards the living room and once there the two brothers sat down on the couch.

Dale picked out a movie to watch and scooted closer to his brother. "This is an action movie Chip! You're gonna love it!" Dale says and Chip smiles at his little brother and wraps and arm around Dale's  shoulder.

Soon the movie started playing after a few minutes Chip felt something hit his shoulder Chip looked down and smiled when he noticed Dale had fallen asleep. Chip then averted his attention back to the movie.
