Chip N Dale Brotherly One Shots

I'm sorry

Chip groaned and sat up in his bed and looked at the clock. It was the middle of the night. Chip sighed in annoyance and laid back down and tried to go back to sleep.

Thirty minutes later and the Chipmunk was still wide awake unable to fall asleep no matter how hard he tried. Chip huffed and sat up in his bed.

And that was when his ears perked up he could hear something coming from the room next door to his. Cautiously Chip climbed out of his bed and exited his room and began tiptoeing to the door that was beside his.

He pressed his ear to the door and frowned when he could hear faint sobbing from behind the door. Chip removed his ear from the door and lightly knocked on the door.

"Bud can I come inside?" Chip asked in a calm tone. Waiting for a few minutes Chip realized he wasn't going to get a response.

"I'm coming in Bud." Chip said calmly as he opened the door and walked inside. Chip closed the door behind him.

Chip frowned at the sight before him. His little brother was sitting up in his bed while hiding his face into a pillow. Chip began to walk closer to Dale's bed.

Once Chip reached Dale's bed he sat down next to his brother and placed a paw on his shoulder. Dale flinched but slowly looked up at his older brother.

Tears fell from Dale's eyes causing Chip to frown. "What's wrong Bud?" Chip asked in a concerned tone.

Dale looked away from Chip and let out a small whimper "I'm sorry." Dale muttered quietly.

Chip looked at Dale with a confused look "I'm sorry but what did you say?" Chip asked

Dale sighed before looking up at Chip once again. "I-I'm sorry." Dale said quietly but loud enough for Chip to hear him.

Chip looked at Dale with a confused look on his face. "What are you apologizing for?" Chip asked in a surprised tone.

Dale looked away from Chip again. Dale could feel his body begin to shake as tears fell faster from his eyes. Chip's frown deepened did he say something wrong? Chip thought to himself as he tried to think of what he could do to make Dale feel better.

Chip sighed and reluctantly pulled Dale into a side hug. Chip whispered words of comfort into Dale's ear hoping that it would calm his brother down.

Dale let out a sob "w-why don't you still hate me?" Dale asked as he let out another sob causing Chip's eyes to widen in surprise.

"What are you talking about? I could never hate you Dale." Chip said as he hugged Dale closer to him.

"How could you not hate me? After everything I did to you! I never even wanted to do Double O Dale but I still went through with it and i hurt you because of it." Dale said as he let out another sob.

Chip sighed so this is way Dale is so upset. Chip thought to himself as he looked down at his little brother.

Chip needed to think about what he was going to say. If he said the wrong thing then it was going to make Dale feel even worse. After a few minutes of thinking about what to say Chip finally spoke.

"Dale I need you to understand that I never hated you ok? Yes I was mad at you and hurt by what you'd done but I could never hate you." Chip said in a stern yet calm tone.

"But I-" Dale said but was cut off by Chip.

"Dale, I don't hate you." Chip said

"But why-" Dale said but was cut off by Chip again.

"I don't hate you." Chip said once again causing Dale to let out a sob. Dale leaned into Chip and rested his head on Chip's shoulder and wrapped his arms around his older brother.

Chip squirmed a bit trying to remove himself from Dale's tight hug but eventually stopped when he felt tears falling onto his shoulder.

Chip sighed and reluctantly wrapped his arms around his little brother and pulled him into a tight hug.

After a few minutes of silence Chip spoke "Dale I want you to stop thinking that I Hate you ok? You're my little brother and I.....I love you I could never hate you." Chip said in A calm yet stern voice.

Dale's eyes widen in surprise. He looked up at Chip with blurred vision due to the tears. "You...What?" Dale asked in a surprised tone.

Chip rolled his eyes "I think you heard me the first time little brother." Chip said

Dale smiled slightly "I know...I'm just surprised that's all I don't think I've ever heard you tell me that before. But I love you Too Chip." Dale said

Chip smiled slightly "alright enough of this sappy stuff." Chip said.

Dale smiles and lets put a yawn and rubs his eyes with his paws.

"Seems like someone is tired." Chip said with a small smile on his face.

However, Dale doesn't respond Chip looks down and shakes his head. Dale had fallen asleep on Chip's shoulder.

Chip sighed in annoyance and carefully laid Dale back down onto his bed and covered his little brother up with the blanket.

"Goodnight Bud." Chip said quietly before making his way towards Dale's bedroom door. He quietly opened it and walked out the door he then closed the door behind him and made his way towards his own room.
