1 h after landing

Exterior pov

It had been an hour since they had landed on the ground and there was no sign of radiation damage yet.
But Felix, being a paranoid doctor, was carefully monitoring the member's vital signals on his screenpad.

What Ryujin said about the chips was only partially true; all of them had been injected with a chip, but it wasn't in any way able to control their vital signals, only to monitor them.
Felix and the Council up on Arc had access to the data, to make sure they were ok and to keep track of the body reactions in case of any radiation or other factors that could compromise their survival.

"Put that down we're fine. Relax" said Minho looking at his brother who kept checking the screen every two minutes.

"You don't know that...yet" he replied.

"Either way I think we should find out what she is planning?" said Minho looking at Ryujin who was sitting alone under a tree looking up, probably watching the sky.

"I'll go talk to her."

"Alright, I'll go check the signal and make sure we haven't lost contact with Arc after the crush." said the older and headed inside.

"Shin Ryujin, can we talk?" he said standing in front of her.

The girl looked up at him and nodded.
"Sure doc"

"Why did you help me earlier? You know the chip isn't able to stop anyone's life...So why?"

"Because I ain't dump. If we want to survive here we can't have a bunch of stupid bloodthirsty criminals taking over. And if you can't have power by gaining their respect then you take it by using fear...they're just like animals" she said, her tone low and flat.

"That's true, but-"

"You play too nice doc, to be able to deal with snakes you have to become a snake-charmer. Be careful and don't let the snakes bite you," she added interrupting him.
Felix thought for a moment, about Jackson's words. She wasn't just a little girl, she had murdered a guard back at Arc, and she was known for her exceptional global knowledge, this girl was dangerous.

"Alright, I'll keep that in mind," he said and walked away.

He needed to be careful with that one. The other criminals were bigger, stronger, and scarier, but she was sneakier he could tell.

Minho went to the control panel of the spaceship and checked the radio. Just as he had feared it wasn't working.

"Fuck" he said and then went outside to look for Jisung.

"Where's the short chipmunk-looking guy?" he asked one of the guards and he pointed behind the spaceship.

Minho went behind the spaceship only to find Jisung's hallway there; he was coming back in front of the ship.

"The radio is broken," they said at the same time when they say each other.

"The contact with the atmosphere has melted the antenna down." explained the younger and Minho cussed under his breath.

"Any other damages?"

"The engine..."

"Shit is it bad"

"I don't know yet I have to open it up and check, but it's too hot right now. I'm hoping it's only a minor problem" said Jisung and Minho nodded.

"Can you fix the radio?"

"Yeah, but I don't know how much of use it'll be without an antenna to transmit the signal" replied Minho.
