Felix pov

After I saw the grounder leave I rushed inside infuriated and called a meeting with everyone.
We needed new rules around here. Strict ones.
I wasn't gonna let a bunch of criminals take over and screw things up. We had no chance of survival, not until the Arc finally got our message.
We had been trying to get in touch with them for a while now but there was still nothing, so I needed to keep us alive for a little longer.

"Sit all of you," I said, and they obeyed.
"What you did yesterday will not be repeated am I clear?" I said but received no replies only glares from Miller and Adeline.
"I said am I clear?" I said rising my voice.
"Yes," they all said.
"Good because the days when I was the friendly and forgiving leader are over. From now on you step out of line you get punished. I'll have to take extreme measures because we're in extreme conditions."
"We- "started Miller
"Did I tell you to speak?"
"No"
"Then shut up and wait for permission" I deadpanned.
"I don't think you realize, but what you did yesterday put us all in even more danger. That grounder was the one who blew the horn that day at the river and saved us, and he was here to talk in peace! Now when he goes back, and they see him in that state y'all can bet your balls that if they didn't come to kill us before they'll come now." I spoke.
"I don't have balls" whispered Ryujin.
"Not now," whispered Jisung back.

I wanted to laugh at that, but I had to keep my serious face on.
"The weapon room is now under my control only I know the access password and it will remain that way. I will be the one to decide when and why you get them. And you will follow my rules from now on, no questions."
"Minho, give me my I-screen back," I said looking at my brother. He didn't protest and gave it back.
"And I have this still let's not forget," I said with the I-screen in hand.
"We will discuss this better tonight for now I want all of you outside checking if the wall is in condition to resist an attack," I said and as they were leaving, I spoke again.

"Minho, Adeline, and Miller stay," I said.
"All three of you need to face punishment for not obeying me yesterday."
"What do you have in mind," said Minho.
"Just a little warning," I said picking up the electric stick I had previously sequestered from the two guards.
"Oh come on cotton candy you wouldn't hurt a fly," said Adeline and Miller smirked. Minho was the only one with a hint of fear in his eyes. He knew how wrong they were.
"Wanna try me?" I asked.
"Lix" began Minho, but I glared at him.
"Face the wall all three of you" I ordered, and they did.

I started with Miller. I turned on the stick and hit him on the back making him shake and scream then fall to the floor still shaking like a leaf.
"You're next," I told Adeline and before she could protest, she was on the floor as well.
"Now you brother," I said, and he turned around to look at me.

I found no pleasure in doing this, but I had to. I needed them to understand that I was serious about this. I needed them to fear and respect me. And in order to do so I also had to punish my own brother as much as I hated that idea, I had to do it to prove my point.

"You know believe it or not I'm glad you're doing this," he said before I hit him on the stomach.
I hit him a little harder than I had intended to, maybe because out of all of them his betrayal was the one that hurt the most.
"After you are able to stand again, I want you to join us outside and work on the wall," I said leaving the room.

-that night-

I opened Minho's door and found him lying on his bed facing the ceiling.
"T-shirt off," I said reaching for the medical bag that I had brought with me.
"Take me to dinner first" he joked before lifting his shirt.
"That would be incest ew," I said, and he laughed.
"You don't have to be sorry, you know," he said as I took care of the wound, I had caused him.
"I'm not" I lied, and he hummed.
"You'll be a good leader," he said.
"I have no choice I can't let your hot-head lead. You already screwed up" I said, and he pressed his lips into a line.
"I don't regret what I did, at least it taught you that leaders need to make hard decisions in order to guarantee the survival of their people," he said, and I pressed the cotton harder on his skin making him groan in pain.
"All done. Get some sleep we have to survive tomorrow and the day after and so on until the Arc comes down" I said.
"I'll make sure you survive. My little brother, my responsibility remember? No matter what I won't let anything happen to you. Even when you're an asshole and hit me with an electrical stick," he said as I was about to walk out.
"Sleep Minho," I said and exited the room.
