Lola's P.O.V
"Honey I'm home!" I yelled as I dropped my traveling bags. A high pitched squeal echoed through the house.
"LOLA!!!!!" My little sister, Cali, squeezed my legs in a bear hug.
"Hey Cali, how's my little sis?" I picked her up and swung her around, causing her to giggle.
"Lola, I missed you so much! I thought you wouldn't make it for mother's day."
"Aww, now honey, you know I wouldn't miss a holiday to see my favorite people." I smiled down at her and looked her over.
She was literally a mini-me, she had the same blue eyes with long brown, chocolate hair. I love my sister so much, such a shame how she has to live with that sorry excuse for a mother.
"Where's miss pothead?" I asked looking around the house, finally landing my eyes on her door.
"Mom went out, to get some stuff not to long ago. She should be back soon though." A frowned popped onto her face.
"That gives us more time to play!" She giggled and smacked my thigh.
"Tag you're it!" She yelled before running around the living room, with me chasing after her.
"I'm gonna get you!" I yelled, with a smile on my face.
"Let me go! Lola that tickles!!" Her laugh was the best sound I've ever heard. I truly admired my sister.
~~~
"What the hell are you doing here?" A female voiced blurted. My head instantly snapped over to the front door, to see my so called mother.
"Moma!" I ran to her to hug her, but she stepped back with no hesitation. "Still a bitch, I see."
"Excuse me!?!" She dropped her car keys in shock. My mother was nothing like me, she had jet black hair and green eyes, with freckles and a pale skin. She was a poor role model, and only cared for herself and anyone who can make her look good.
"Never mind. I came to spend the day with you for mother's day." I forced a smile on my face, pushing any sign of hatred behind.
"Well thanks, but I don't want your company." She walked pass me and into the kitchen. I was beginning to feel inrage, until Cali tugged on my hand to bend down. She cupped my ears and began to whisper.
"She just broke up with her boyfriend."
I took in the information, it didn't shock me. I always knew she was a slut, but then I guess we have that in common-wait no, I actually can keep a man, while she on the other hand has a new one for each week.
I strolled over into the kitchen and saw her smoking by the counter, staring at a small yellow piece of paper.
"What's wrong?" I was now besides her.
"Nothing you can handle. I thought I told you to leave."
"Oh, you did but I'm just not listening. Now what's this." I took the paper out of her sight and stared at it as I read the bold letters.
Bill Is Overdue!!"I can pay this for you." Although I dislike her, I don't want her to be in a worst state then she already is. And I can't afford for Cali to grow up on the streets.
"No I-I can pay it. I just need to work overtime nights." She looked unsure, and lost. It made me feel a little sorry for her. Just a little.
"Stop being dumb. Why work extra nights when you have a daughter who can pay it and lend you some money."
"That's it! Do you know how bad it look to get money from my own daughter." I was disgusted by her words, infact , I was ready to punch her.
"Are listening to yourself? All you care about is yourself, huh? You have two fucking daughters who are struggling to keep you stable but all you do is take advantage and screw up your whole life." I hissed.
SMACK!I was on the cold tiled ground, holding my throbbing cheek. I know that bitch did not just slap me.
And like that all respect for her went out the window, I was ready to kill her literally.
I shot up and walked over to her. Our faces were almost inches apart. I wanted to make sure she heard every single word.
"I should have killed you that night by the club. That is my biggest regret ever. Thinking about how I use to call you 'mom' disgust me. I hope rot in hell." My fist emerged with her nose, and she quickly covered it with her hands. Then she did something that surprised me. She cried, and cried. She was just on the floor, crying her heart out. My features softened, as I kneeled next to her. She finally looked up and noticed me.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything, for hating you, for not giving you a better lifestyle, for treating you and Cali like crap, for everything. I'm a horrible mother. I beg of you, please forgive me. I promise we can start over." She pleaded as her arms wrapped around me, crying into my shoulder. It was weird to see my mo- I mean, Alice, break down like that in front of me. I mean, I learn about killing from her, she's the one who made me heartless in the first place, and now she's just....soft?
"Its okay, I want to start over with you, and maybe try to be normal again, but about forgiving you..." I trailed off, wrapping my arms around her. "Well, we'll just have to see about that."
"Oh gosh! Thank you. I promise things will be better from now on. I've missed you so much, Lola, I finally got my baby back." She squeezed me leaving me breathless. Why the hell she was being so nice and committed all of a sudden? Did she get a wake up call?
Dash's P.O.V
I rested my bags in the corner and took a seat on the black leathered couch. For a villa, it was pretty damn sweet, and big. I took out my phone and dialed my mom. She answered after the third ring.
'Hey hun.' She sounded tired, probably just finishing work.
'Hey mom, happy mother's day!'
'Thanks Dash. Too bad we can't spend it with each other.'
'Um, yeah, I actually sent you a present, at your villa. It should be there by now.' A smirked appeared on my face.its always handy to have a copy of all my moms house keys.
' OH REALLY DARLING, YOU'RE TOO SWEET. I'm actually only like two minutes away.'
' Okay, bye, I love you.' I hanged up and went to make myself an quick sandwich. I came back in time to hear the door creak open.
"EEEEEEEEEEKKKK!!!!!! MY BABY!!!!!!" She squealed, probably so the whole damn neighborhood could hear. Because obviously her plan was to burst my eardrums.
"Hey mom." I said still rubbing my ears trying to get the beeping sound to disappear. She quickly ran to me and gave me a huge bear hug causing me to drop my sandwich in the process, awe.
"This is indeed the best mother's day present I've ever received. God, I missed you." She tighten her grip. "Wait, how did you even get to Melbourne?" She pushed back to look me over.
"Well, my roommate, Lola, was coming over here to visit her mom, so I tagged along, and dad told me that you were here. So I stopped by." I explained, a little to fast.
"I want to meet her. But anyway we should go out for lunch. I heard there's this new restaurant down a few blocks." She grabbed her keys and strolled outside to the car, and I followed suit.
