A knock came from downstairs, I didn't bother to get it, I was to comfy in the warmth of my sheets. The knock repeated another time, but I was determined to stay in my bed, besides why would I wake up on a Saturday morning.
I finally sighed in defeat, as the knock repeated for the fifth time. I dragged myself downstairs as grumpy as I can be, I knew my hair was a mess but I didn't care right now.
"What can I help you with?" I asked with a screwed up face, as I opened the door.
"Good morning to you to, beautiful." A tall, masculine guy -my age- leaned against the door frame.
"Uh, who are you." I asked less grumpy.
"The name is Ian."
"Well then Ian, why are you here?" I stepped outside and shut the door behind me. He wore a leather jacket, fitted jeans and a pair of convers. He had brown eyes, matching his hair color.
"I just moved here, and I was tired of unpacking so, I went off to make a friend." He smiled at me. I wasn't always grumpy, in fact most of the times I'm happy and outgoing. There's no harm in making new friends, but waking me up on a Saturday morning, you've already made a bad first impression.
"Ok, let's do something today." My adrenaline kicked in.
"Wait what's your name." He hold my hand as I was about to open the door.
"It's Dash." I slipped my hand out of his grip, and went inside. I heard his footsteps behind me as he entered tho house, he then sat down on the sofa in the living room.
I went in the bathroom and washed the residue off. I quickly put on a purple shirt, jeans and a pair off flats. My phone rang as I was about to get my bag.
"Dash, baby, where are you?" A male voiced approach.
"I'm going out, Leo, what do you want." Leo is my ex boyfriend, even though we weren't meant to be, we still became close friends, he looks after me the same way I do for him. He still called me "baby" but I don't mind, whatever helps him sleeps at night I guess.
"Where are you going, love." I could feel the concern through the phone.
"Out, I'm going out, now bye." I let out a small laugh as I hanged up.
Returning downstairs I met Ian at the door waiting for me, he looked as hype as I was. I would be more hype to go to a park rather than a club.
"So, Dash, where do you wanna go?" He asked as we walked. I loved anywhere open and free, anywhere what had that fresh outsidey smell. I then grabbed his arm and pulled him in the direction of the park.
My phone rang and I let go of his arm to pull out my phone. I smiled as the ID showed, it was Leo again.
"Who are you with?" His voiced boomed. I chuckled at his concern.
"No one" I lied, "Why?"
He hanged up and I laughed in respond.
"I'm sorry, let's sit over there." I pointed as we walked to a bench facing a lake. It was gorgeous, breath taking really. I heard the laughter in the background as kids ran around.
"So, I wanna learn about you," I asked snapping out of my "daydream". "What's your favorite color, where are you from, why did you move?"
He didn't hesitate to answer, in fact he was more than happy to answer me, we mostly talked about each other and our families. I learned a lot about him and I think it was the same for him.
"Well, after-"
"Dash! DASH!!" A strong male voice shouted from a distance.
I turned my head slightly only to see a mad Leo marching our way. My cheeks turned red with embarrassment, I got up and approached Leo.
