Anxiety is riddled within my body,
Slowly and silently spreading like a malignant cancer.

It feasts on my mind,
Devouring any sense of positivity and hope.

It leaves my head a dark place,
Encapsulated by fog.

I pray,
I hope,
I dream that it will go away and select a different host to torment,
But it never does.

It never leaves.

Instead,
It grows stronger,
Slowly and silently spreading like a malignant cancer.
