Even the stormiest of Sea's - Beidou x Fem! Reader

Chapter 1- Time and Time again.

[This is before you met Beidou :  Basically all the IMPORTANT events of Y/N's life before she met Beidou, but if you know basic Genshin Lore you probably know this and can skip it, the real story starts around Chapter 2  and 3 and then Beidou and the reader start getting closer starting around Chapter 4 and 5 so you can probably skip this Chapter if you want.]

--Start of the story--

The day you awoke:

Ah, yes, you. The traveler, (Y/N). My goodness. How had you gotten here? Where even was here? Oh... Now you remember, do you not? You and your brother, you two traveled between worlds together, yes yes, that's right. You remember not what happened once you had reached this world, but you did remember something. Oh. Yes of course. That damned deity,  You and your brother were split apart by the wretched god who had forbade you from leaving. That god - god damn it. Who was she? You hadn't the slightest clue .However, she stole something from you that was significant. Oh, you now recall what she took. Your beloved brother. The only thing you had was your brother. "My god, where was he, what had she done to him, is he even... alive...?"  These were the notions running through your brain as you began to sob out loud right there on the beach where you were sitting.

The day you met, your first... friend?: 

How hungry you were, my goodness. Fortunately for you, you had gathered some supplies from the beach to make a useful fishing pole for yourself. After hours of fishing, you had managed to land exactly ZERO fish. You were so exhausted and malnourished that you thought you were going to pass out.

Since the last time you saw his face, how many days had passed? I heard him laughing. You keep hearing his voice , "(Y/N), we will be together forever." He says, "I will be there for you. No matter what happens, I will protect you. You.. you mean everything to me." Anyone would probably go insane after repeatedly hearing those phrases in their head. As you remembered how he used to soothe you when you used to cry to him, you began to weep. He'd say, "Listen to me (Y/N)... (Y/N), my sweet sister, you are my only family and I will never, ever let you go. I adore you. We shall have everything one day, I guarantee it. But even then, all we really need is each other." You believed him... You still do believe him.

"AH!" You had not been aware of the fact you had gotten a catch throughout your brief reflection. My, that felt quite weighty for a fish. You pull on it. Then you pull once more... A child...!? "OH MY!" You think. Before you can finish, it opens its eyes. 

"Hmm..." Starting with waking up, "AGH!" It shouts, "My lord, did you scare her when she saw your face." Who are you, exactly? It shouts, almost accusingly pointing its finger at you. Your voice is hoarse from not drinking enough water when you open your lips to speak. "B..Better question-"  You were interrupted by cough, "Who are you? And where am I...?" 

The child thing sits up, looking you up and down for a moment seemingly taking in your details which gives you time to do the same. This... Thing seems to be a fairy of some sorts. It has thick white hair, dark purple eyes and light skin. Its outfit is made of a long-sleeved white jumper and night-blue cape flecked with stars, along with white stockings and boots. Before you could continue your analysis of this creature it stuck out its hand for you to shake. "Paimon. I am Paimon." You looked at its small hand hesitantly, then smiled softly. "Hello Paimon, I am... (Y/N)."

The day your journey would start:

"So, you feelin' any better there, (Y/N)?" Paimon inquired. "Of course I am. Thanks to you and your knowledge of Teyvat." You said, drawing something in the sand with a stick. Paimon waited for a bit, but Paimon being Paimon got impatient. "Well are you going to tell Paimon, or are you going to keep Paimon waiting for the next few millennia?!" At this, you chuckled and turned to look at her giving her a big stupid grin. "Patience is a virtue." 

"OW!" You yelped, as she bonked you on the head. "Hurry up!"

After a few more minutes you finished it and sat down next to it. Paimon flew over to it and tilted her head in confusion, "Who's that (Y/N)?" At this you simply chuckled in a sad tone before clutching your chest and looking up at the beautiful sky. "Well?!" She irks, "Who is it, who is it, Who! Is! It?!" You looked back at her with a sad smile, and she began to back off a bit, "Sorr-" She started, before you interrupted her,

"I believe its time i tell you about my past, Paimon..."

"And just like that, the god took away my brother. Some kind of seal was cast on me and while we used to travel from world to world, now we are stuck here." 

"How many years ago was it..? I don't know, but i intend to find out..." You said, clutching your shirt tighter, as your eyes filled with tears. "I was completely alone from the time I woke..." you turned to face her, "Right up until i met you, two months ago." Paimon nods, smiling awkwardly, "Paimon really owes you for that, otherwise Paimon likely would have drowned," She starts, before perking up slightly. "So Paimon will do her best to be a great guide!"

A/N: So, this is just up until the cutscene where you get anemo powers and the next chapter will most likely be around the time your looking to go to Inazuma and meet Beidou, although if this is the case there will be a brief flashback of what's happened so far so that all of this makes sense, and yes Paimon is present in this story but she wont exactly interfere with the story she is mainly there for comedy purposes and because I love Paimon. I hope this first chapter wasn't too boring i sort of just wanted to put my own spin on the beginning of the story. ^^
