Chapter 4 - "Hey there, Short-Stack"

Where are you now, then. You had indeed arrived in Guyun Stone Stone's Tournament Arena. Prior to registering, Paimon reasoned that it would be a good idea to visit with the other competitors. Uncle Yun, Chai Yi, Liang, and Jinyou had all heard from you. You've got a lot of competition because they appear to be fairly powerful. 

They all also seem pretty confident.. though, Paimon described them as a guy with an inflated ego, some gullible guys paying way to much for their Kung Fu classes, and another guy who's just... really average, and though this mad you chuckle, you really just want to get through this and get to Inazuma so you can start searching for your brother again.  You and Paimon decided it was finally time to sign up. 

You and Paimon walked up to the table "Next please... What's your name?" Zhuhan, said. "(Y/N)." You answered back with a wave. "(Y/N)..." She repeated, "Wait... A..Aren't you...?!" At this, everybody perked up and ran over towards you. "Did i hear that right? (Y/N)?!" One said. "Is it really them!?"

"Aren't they a Vision bearer, though? Why are they trying to enter The Clash?" Another one yelled from behind. "Uh..." Zhuhan, started again. "I..I have to ask... aren't you the traveler that helped fight off that ancient god...?" At this you smile and nod. "A..Ah, Yes that would be correct." 

"Its really her!" Another one screamed.

"The one that spoke with Lady Keqing at the right of parting." Yet another one yelled.

"Oh! Oh! I wonder if i can get her autograph later?" One more spoke.

"I..I trust your aware that... only those without Visions can enter the tournament?" Zhuhan spoke up again. "Hah, yes yes, I am indeed aware. Though, I do not have a Vision." At this her and everyone around you look at you with eyes wide in shock. "R..Really?!" Zhuhan, asks in pure shock. "B..But from what I've heard, the things your capable of in combat are... nothing short of extraordinary... You walk into the most dangerous of situations imaginable, face off against all sorts of monsters - heck, even fatui - and always come out on top!"

Wow all this praise and recognition today really does feel good especially considering how down you've been feeling after... The incident with your brother.

So, after enrolling, you prove your lack of a Vision and provide her your track record. To avoid any misunderstandings, you and Paimon had determined it would be a good idea to refrain from using your elemental abilities this time.

And so your first battle began, once you hear Beidou's amused voice. "Our next competitor is seen by many as the favorite to win this competition!" Gosh this embarrassed you, being so publicly and grandly announced made you want to cower away, even if you knew you'd win the fight. 

"Her first bout begins now!"

Ah, yes. The guy with an inflated ego. "W..Wait your the hero they were talking about?!" He yells. "How am I meant to win now?!" You rolled your eyes and went to work. He was quite easy to beat despite his big ego, and in all honesty. He wasn't very good at all. 

This guy... Once he realized who you were, he appeared to sort of shy away. When he finally came at you, you avoided and struck him with the back of your blade, being careful not to harm him. He appeared to become enraged by this because he lunged at you again, this time with greater force. You just avoided him and struck him with the back of your blade once more, sending him to the ground once again. He promised to be simple.
