Chapter 4 (P.2) - A wonderous sea breeze

"...Introducing Liyue's Traveling Hero, Y/N~!"

"Wowww!" One person screams. "I've been waiting for this!" screams another.

Beidou looks over at you and chuckles seeing your flushed face. This only prompts her to keep going, "I'm sure everyone witnessed her thrilling match in the semi-finals," She begins again. "But todays final match will surely take things up a notch!" She announces proudly. "As for our other contestant... Uh, he still hasn't arrived yet." Her excitement seems to die as she looks down at the ground and begins to mumble, perplexed. "C'mon, what could be taking him so long? You cant just forfeit for not showing up like the previous rounds... This is the finals!"

"Apologies! Everyone just sit tight!" 

You turned to her with a reassuring smile. "Perhaps they're to intimidated to show up for the finals?" 'I mean, if i were him i would be after that grand introduction.' You think to yourself. She looks down with a disappointed expression and nods. "We've got no other choice," She says. "If he doesn't show up we'll just have to postpone the match..."

"Wait a moment," Kazuha interjects. "Something doesn't seem right about this. Captain Beidou I think we should check on the prize... Traveler, come with us."

You, Kazuha and Beidou walk over and open the box. "Let me see..." Beidou says, pushing past you a bit. "Yup... Its gone alright... The Vision is missing." You and Paimon look at each other, eyes wide in shock. "Huh! Did somebody steal it? Who would dare do such a thing in broad day light?" Paimon yells. "We don't know when it was taken exactly. Huh! I never thought somebody would have the guts to cross, Captain Beidou..." Beidou says, clearly pissed off. "No need to worry," Kazuha says. "Even the craftiest sleight of hand does not escape natures watchful gaze."

"Hmm... The culprit has only acted recently. They will not have gotten far."

"I presented The Vision as the reward, and it was my duty to watch out for it. I'll make sure to return it." He stated while expressing sadness as he looked towards the ground. It nearly brought to mind the way you had seemed after leaving the Domain where you had seen your brother. You wanted to give the boy a big hug, but- "should you persist. I'll let you handle the situation." You were brought back to reality, By Beidou's remark. "I'll remain here and make an effort to explain things to the participants who came to watch the match."

"If you could, would you please accompany me, Y/N?" Kazuha enquired. As he whispered something about 'how he sensed the winds coming,' you nodded and followed him. Paimon and you went after Kazuha. He seemed to have been right about the winds. In order to "seek for clues," you and Kazuha nodded at each other before pulling out your gliders and heading to the other side of the island. You were tempted to inquire about Kazuha's apparent determination to recover the Vision, but you were also wary of inadvertently prying into someone's private life. After a few enemies that Kazuha quickly defeated, you and the two of you go off in search of hints. "Wait a minute," Paimon started. "What made you think of checking the prize box in the first place."

"I heard it the moment it was stolen." Kazuha replied.

"Well why didn't you stop him!?" Paimon yelled back.

"You'll see shortly." He answered to Paimon's yelling.

Once again there was a wind current and Kazuha said that the wind must be leading us to the culprit. Man, was this guy strange. "The culprit must be on the other shore now." He said. As we once more took out our gliders, we started to follow the wind current to the opposite shore.
