Chapter 9 - Team

Shaking your head, you peered about, trying to figure out where you were. It seemed like everything was white...? 'No...! Not this place again...!' You started to tremble and tears started to form in your eyes as you thought back to that horrifying nightmare... wait... then... were you dreaming, or was this reality...? No, it feels too real. You looked down at your hands... gasping as you saw,

red...?

Blood...?! Blood?! What...?! Blood?! Whose blood was this, anyway...?! The realization that your entire body was covered in blood from head to toe made you flinch, but whose blood was it exactly...? It most definitely wasn't your own.

As soon as you stood up, you made the decision to begin looking for something, anything really. It seemed like an eternity as you wandered around. Everything was the same; you may as well be going around in circles, which caused you to yell in irritation... before,

before the stench of a rotting corpse flooded your senses...

As soon as you realized this, your search speed increased. You kept running and running and running—and then you fell? As you stumbled and gasped, you turned around to see what you had fallen on.

"B..Beidou!"

Wide-eyed, you turned to face the body and immediately recognized Beidou's face. You instantly crept up on her, cradling her head in your lap and hovering your hands over her body, wondering what you could do, if anything at all. You began to tear up. 'No... Why, why, why-' Then, out of nowhere, you heard a slow clap and then... footsteps?

"Oh dear sister, what have you done..."

At that voice, you gasped and spun around. No, it wasn't him; it was that thing. You instantly leapt up and prepared to brandish your sword, but... you didn't have it on you. 'shit!' it shoved you aside and kneeled by Beidou's body as you struck the ground, it only laughed at your pitiful attempt.

"She was supposed to be your friend, right? You killed her, and she was one of the few people who were kind to you.."

When you heard those words, you trembled and sat up, fiercely shaking your head side to side as tears began to fall from your eyes.

"N..No! I d..didn't kill her, i w..wouldn't!"

At this it let out a "tch" and began to approach you. As quickly as you could, you backed away. When he finally had you, he used his foot to hold you down and drive your head into the ground. 

"You are a monster. You killed her, somebody who was kind to you. You absolute monster. That's what you are, a monster. And monsters... monsters need to be destroyed." 

You sat back up, quivering in pain from his words and his attacks, as he removed his foot from your head. generally speaking He considered you to be a monster... your precious brother. But that is what you were, wasn't it now...? One of the only individuals who seemed as if they genuinely cared about you... murdered by you. He began to walk away and you sat up more, before he suddenly stopped. You started to quiver more as he brought out his blade and you sobbed more because you knew what he was about to do. He quickly leapt at you, aiming his sword for your throat, and then,

You woke up...

You sat up, gasping, trembling, tears streaming down your cheeks. Your ears were ringing, making it difficult for you to hear anything, but you glanced across to see... Beidou... You had woken her up. She put her palm on your face with an expression of genuine worry but upon remembering your nightmare you backed away from her.
