Chapter 6 - Inazuma

The sensation of hot breath on your neck and the sound of soft snores next to your ear had woken you up. It took you a while to realize this since you were so fatigued from how little sleep you had the night before and how much you had cried. You audibly gasp at this knowledge and turn around, but whoever it is is too strong for you to do so. You whimper, trying to turn around, until you look down and see the hands around your waist, and then you know who it is. "B..Beidou...?" You ask.

"Mmh... Quiet, I'm still sleepy." She says softly, her hold around your waist tightening.

You sigh and flush a shade of crimson, unconsciously leaning back against her, savoring the warmth of her body on yours. She opened her eyes after another half hour or so and noticed your position. She gave you a startled, wide-eyed look before her face flushing along with yours and tumbling off the bed as she scrambled to get off of you. Her face was almost redder than yours. 

"I..I apologize! I..I'm not sure how I- No did you- N..No I was s..spooning you- I didn't m..mean to- I..I'm so s..sorry! I could have s..sworn I was o..on the other s..side of the bed when I fell asleep! I..I'm so sorry!"

She was the blushing mess now; you had stopped blushing a little while ago. You started laughing uncontrollably as a result of this. She immediately blushes more intensely and smiles softly, as her thoughts go to last night. You finally stopped laughing, and she sat up on the bed again. She smiled at you and, to your astonishment, started running her fingers through your hair. "Its good to see you happy again, Short-Stack."

You blushed once more as she stroked her fingers through your hair with tenderness and care, reminding you of last night. She nearly seemed to read your thinking as she laughed at this. She extended her arms, and you gave her a wary glance before sliding into her arms, being held by her like she did last night. "You never have to be alone, (Y/N)... Never."

You and Beidou remained in this position for a time, enjoying each other's company in silence, before hearing the door slam open. You both turned to face the now-wide open door.

"Hey, Beidou! We were wondering if you had seen (Y/- UWAAHHHHHHHH!?!?!" Paimon screamed.

This time, you and Beidou were both blushing wrecks as you realized Paimon and Kazuha had just walked in on you being cradled in Beidou's arms almost as if you were her lover. You and Beidou simply stared at them in disbelief, and they gave you two nearly the same look in return.

"Ohoho! Paimon knew that she didn't trust you! What exactly did you two do in here, you nasty little Pirate woman!?" Paimon yells, as she flies at Beidou bonking her on the head repeatedly. "Hey hey hey! Stop it, Paimon! She didn't do anything wrong!" You yelled at her pulling her off Beidou, but then she turned to glare at you and you nervously let go of her. "You..."

"Y/N, What have you two been doing in here!? Tell me its not what I think!" She yells, grabbing you by your shirt. It takes the three of you a moment to understand what Paimon was getting at, but as soon as you did, you and Beidou both shrieked, your faces glowing redder than ever.

"N..No! Heavens no, Paimon! Where would you ever get such an idea!?"

Paimon sighs in relief and hugs you tightly. "From the way that shady Pirate is always looking at you...!" She says, glaring at Beidou over her shoulder, who wasn't responding. 'I think Paimon broke her.' You think to yourself. "No no, Paimon, really,"

"She only cuddled me to sleep-"

As soon as you finish saying it, you realize what you just did and turn to face the ceiling. 'Archons above, save Beidou's poor soul.' You think.

"She did... WHATTTTT?!"

You stop Paimon from lunging at her as he prepares to do so. Kazuha watches, chuckling, as you restrain Paimon from attacking Beidou, who appeared to be unresponsive, while you and Paimon quarrel.

Suddenly, Paimon grabs you by your hair and drags you from the room. Before Paimon takes you out, you pause at the door to say goodbye to the motionless Beidou. She simply waves back as she stares into space, her body heating up as she sees your face. After slamming the door and taking a seat next to her, Kazuha giggles. "Captain, you doin' alright?"

Beidou suddenly slams her head into the pillow, mumbling something inaudible. "What was that, Captain?" He asks. Suddenly she rases her reddened face from the pillow.

"I WAS SPOONING HER KAZUHA, DO YOU THINK IM ALRIGHT?!"

She yells, before slamming her head back into her pillow. Kazuha breaks into uncontrollable laughter, laughing so hard that he began to cry a bit. After, composing himself he looked back at Beidou's pissed off form. "Well well, The famous Captain Beidou, flustered, I never thought id live to see the day."

"OH SHUT IT!"

After changing into your usual attire, you and Paimon left your chamber and crossed the main deck while gazing up at Beidou and Kazuha. Everyone on board noted that you and Beidou had flushed faces when you first locked eyes, and Kazuha then gave her a shoulder bump and gestured for her to approach you. She looked up at you for a while more and she walked up to you. "A..Ah were approaching Inazuma soon- would you like to... hang out?"

"S..Sure."

Paimon gives you both a sneer as you nod and walk after her. When you see Inazuma growing even closer, you lean against the railing and stare at it with amazement. You also place your hand behind your chin. Beidou admired the way you appeared as she stared at you and noticed how your eyes were filled with an almost childlike sense of wonder. Her cheeks began to flush crimson as she did so, you didn't notice this until you turned around. Looking at her made you realize something... the truth was that... that very few people had actually tried to assist you in your search for your brother, but she had gotten you here and had done more for you than any other Archon you had encountered on your journey. You started to cry a little bit and walked over to her. She anticipated you would correct her for staring, but to her surprise, you hugged her tightly.

"Thank you... Beidou..."

She stared down at you as you squeezed her closely, unsure of what to do. She then nervously gave you a hug in return, which made you grin. 

"You've done so much for me, you've helped me more than anyone else on my journey... I remember what you had said last night, you told me to open up to somebody... somebody i trust, somebody that makes me feel safe. That's... You..."

Now this surprised her even more. But she simply smiled and rubbed your back, "Then... ill be happy to accompany you through your journey through Inazuma. I am aware that I said i would head back after we had dropped you off but... I would like to assist you in any way I can."

Now it was your turn to be surprised but you gave her a nod and stepped back to offer her your hand, for her to shake. "Well then... Its a deal... Captain Beidou."

"Most definitely... (Y/N)."

"Captain! Were approaching the docks!"

A/N: I'm not really sure what to say about this other than, Paimon is peak entertainment. Ngl. She is so funny in this, i cannot. And I promised  Beidou and the reader would gradually get closer in this so, I hope this help a bit, Beidou coming to Inazuma with the reader will give me the opportunity to write more about time between the reader and Beidou. Alright, bye-bye. ^^
