Chapter 2 - "Hmm... Who've we got here...?"

Remembrance: 

What have you been up to lately? Well, that's a good question, isn't it? Taking into account what you've done. My goodness gracious. At this point, you have visited two nations. You succeeded in obtaining the Anemo Archon's and the Geo Archon's abilities, and you have even met them! You battled Osial and Dvalin, and heck, you even challenged a Fatui Harbinger! You now even have the titles of Honorary Knight of Mondstat and Savior of Liyue!

Even though you've made friends with practically all of Liyue and all of Mondstat, you still feel... completely and utterly alone. How could you possibly feel so lonely if you have so many friends? You ponder to yourself as you sit alone on the cliff, gazing down at Liyue. Although you were aware of how much easier this journey would be if you said yes, you turned down their offers to come with you and search for your brother because,

You are terrified. 

You feel so cowardly for feeling this way, but what would happen if you were to.. get attached to someone or even worse... fall madly in love? They would have to wait for you to return, wondering whether they were just a passing fancy on your travels, and you would have to leave them to selfishly hope you would some day come back to them...

You couldn't live with yourself if you did that to somebody. So, instead you will push forward in this journey the only way you know how, 

Alone.

Two little hands wrap tightly around your arm, interrupting you from your reminiscing once more. Paimon starts, "(Y/N). You'll be alright. Things will get better; I guarantee we'll find him." You turn around to look at her, squinting dejectedly, smiling flimsily. "I'm so very grateful to you, Paimon. You swear you won't ever leave me, right?" She now grinned and squeezed your arm even more tightly.

"Not even death can keep me from you, (Y/N)."

My, My. Who was it that said these exact words to you before...?

The day you would meet her- O..Oh yes and him:

You left the Domain with a shattered feeling. Paimon raced over to your immobile, weeping figure and gingerly placed her little palm on it. "Are you alright? Paimon never would have guessed your brother would have sided with the Abyss," said Paimon. You refused to look at her. 'What do you think, Paimon? Do I appear alright to you?' You thought to yourself. As you sobbed, your body began to tremble. As she waited for your response, she regretfully frowned. "I feel a little bit better, I suppose," You at last replied. She responded with a kind grin. "Well, (Y/N), keep your head high! Paimon believes in both of you," she says. She went on, coming up behind you. "And when the going gets tough, the tough get going... right?"  Your body stopped trembling at this point, but the tears didn't stop pouring out of your eyes. You glanced up at the sky with a resolute attitude.

"Yeah, your right."

She giggles happily, and nods. "Your brother said that we need to 'reach the end of our journey.' Paimon guesses he has a lot more to tell us! And we wont find out what this journey is or where it ends, unless we keep going!"

"Your the best, Paimon."

"Hee-Hee, then Paimon will be sure to keep up the great work!"

You and Paimon determined we would need to resume our voyage after determining that you would need to begin your quest, starting with locating Inazuma. As you and Paimon were strolling around Liyue's docks, Paimon had the bright idea to speak with Atsuko because she was an Inazuma native and could be able to assist you in getting there. When you eventually located her, you approached her with Paimon.

"Hello!" She says enthusiastically, "O..Oh, I mean good fortune- right?" She sighs, pinching her temples in slight frustration. "I'm still learning to talk like a local, haha... Is there anything I can help you with?"

Paimon answers for you, "We... wanted to ask how to get to, Inazuma."

When you spoke with Atsuko, she advised you to see if anyone in the Crux fleet knew how to bring you to Inazuma. You were traveling to the Alcor with Paimon. "Do you believe they'll want to assist us?" Paimon enquired. "From all I've heard the Crux fleet seems so be quite the generous people from the story's on the street, and honestly Paimon,"

"What other choice do we have?" 

At this, Paimon nodded in agreement. "Fair point, lets just keep going then."

When you eventually boarded the ship, you had a look around. Sincerably, it was a lot of fun to be on. Everyone appeared extremely animated, and the scene was particularly lovely with the water in the background. Ah yes. A battleship named Alcor, moored close to Guyun Stone Forest. It is the Crux's flagship. You were scanning the ship when you heard two voices, so you moved closer to them,

"Hmm... Who've we got here...?"

A/N: In this chapter it was what happens after the Chapter I - Act IV: We Will Be Reunited quest and then the next chapter is when you meet Kazuha and Beidou. The flashback and may have taken up a lot of this chapter but next chapter is (like i said) when you meet Beidou, and it may be bland considering how exact the lines are right now but I'm going to make this more about the two of them and less about the story almost immediately after the scene about the Crux Clash. Anyways, bye-bye. ^^
