You had gone for Inazuma many hours prior. Since you were sleeping with Paimon in a spare bedroom that Beidou had already set up for you, where were you now? Everything around you in this odd environment was shimmering white; it was actually rather lovely. You turned to glance around but found nothing. On what did you even step? You were just wandering because you had no idea what to do. You caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a strange mechanism off in the distance. You rushed up to it and made the decision to touch it. Although you could never see the ground in the first place, the ground vanished from beneath you when you touched it. Where were you now. It appeared as though you were plunging without end. You kept your eyes closed until you sensed someone or something holding you. When you opened your eyes, your brother was there. Inability to convince yourself that he was present despite your fervent want for him to stay caused you to start crying as you feverishly shook your head side to side. When you spotted something, you were about to tell him how much you missed him, how hard you had sought for him, and how happy you were that he had returned as you clung to him and gazed at his face. His face? He lacked a face... You couldn't recall his appearance. You shook your head and looked at his face once more... no, that's not his face. That's... Kazuha, Diluc, Keaya even...? No... This wasn't right. Something is wrong!
He abruptly pushed you away. You got to your feet and turned to face him, if you could even call whatever that creature was 'him.' He unexpectedly drew his sword. You started crying as you continued to stare at the sword because it made you remember the day he abandoned you in that domain. You turned to face him while recalling this. "Your not really him... are you?" You ask it. At this, it begins to laugh, moving closer to you. "Oh but (Y/N)... Who is him? Is this him?" It answered back, you noticed this was definitely not his voice, before looking back at his... face? Oh my, was this unexpected. Who's face was this...? What was this...? Before you truly had time to question it, it lunged at you with its sword. You had no time to react. Just as the sword was about to pierce through your abdomen,
You woke up...
You woke up next to Paimon, sweating and panting. You were clinging to your shirt so firmly you nearly tore it. You remembered your dream as you glanced at Paimon, who was sound asleep, and then up at the ceiling. As you climbed out of bed, sobbing inconsolably, you took care not to wake up little Paimon. You don your long white shirt, black shorts, socks, and shoes. You looked back at Paimon to make sure she was still asleep before leaving the room as you sobbed and made your way to the door. You approached the ship's edge and sat on the rail. You remember that dream again as you stare up at the moon, which is extremely gorgeous tonight and reminds you of the color of that realm from your dream. Your body begins to shake as you sob uncontrollably.
You suddenly heard footsteps behind you, but you couldn't be bothered to look. "Hey there Short-Stack! Wat'cha doin' up so late?" A familiar voice asks. You make an attempt to gather yourself before turning to face the subject, who was unmistakably Beidou, but you are unsuccessful. You turned to face her as your body trembled and tears streamed down your face when she abruptly put her hand on your shoulder. Her broad, silly grin quickly turned into a worried grimace as she noticed your expression. She instantly takes a seat next to you and tightly grips your hands. "Woah there. H..Hey hey hey... don't ignore me... look at me, will ya?" Refusing to look at her, you start to cry louder while shaking your head side to side. She releases her hold on you and you think she is finally going to give up.
Instead, she gently prompts you to look at her while you are crying by holding your face in both of her hands and caressing your cheek. Her hands appeared rough and calloused, but not unpleasant, you noticed. Your tears appeared to slow down, but not cease, as you unconsciously leaned into her hold. This made her smile.
"So... Wanna tell me what's wrong?"
She waits for your response as you stare at her in silence debating if you should tell her.
"Okay..."
...
You turn back to face her after telling her about your dream, your sibling, and the Unknown deity. This was definitely unexpected. Her eyes' outer edges were covered in tears? As you sobbed in silence, she abruptly pulled you in closer by wrapping one arm around your waist and pushing your face into her chest with the other. You blushed, even though you were still sobbing. When you gaze up at her, her face is filled with concern and sympathy for your predicament. You continue to press your face deeper into her breast and sob more as a result of this. As she runs her fingers through her hair, she starts to stroke your back. "(Y/N)..." She begins,
"You... You've worked so hard. You've come so far. Traveling between worlds with your brother demands immense strength in and of itself. When that mysterious god forbade you from leaving this planet and prevented your brother and you from doing so, you even fought back against her. She seized your abilities and your sibling, leaving you on this world by yourself. Despite this, you persisted. To find your sibling, you have endured battles beyond comprehension. That requires real fortitude, tenacity, empathy, and... love. You are the strongest person I've ever encountered, I believe—no, I know—that this is the truth. So please continue to try. I am confident that you can do this. You are stronger than I am. You can do this, I believe in you. And I know you just told me that you don't want to let anybody in because your scared of getting too attached but... please, allow somebody in. If not me, perhaps Kazuha... Just somebody. You can confide in me Y/N."
You were unsure about what to do. You've never confided in anyone so much, but you feel so safe around her. She makes you feel so protected that even though you want to tell her everything, you're scared—terrified even— she just made you feel so comfortable that- 'No. No way. Don't even think that way' You think to yourself. You were shaking uncontrollably once more and had no idea what to do; all you could do was weep.
You smiled up at her while wiping the tears from your face once you had collected your composure. "And you said, Kazuha opens his mouth and flowers come out." You say, with a chuckle. Causing her to smile softly, and hold your face closer to her chest. "Hush now, Short-Stack."
You were about to say that your fine and she could let you go, until she... suddenly stared humming. Your eyes were wide with amazement as you attempted to look up at her, but her hand held you against her chest and rocked you back and forth. Her gentle humming started to put you to sleep. You dozed off due to the combination of her lovely voice, the sound of the waves, and your weariness from sobbing. She picked up your sleeping body bridal style once she had confirmed that you were dozing off comfortably and carried you back to her private quarters where she gently placed your frail form on the bed. Before sliding into bed with you, she went to put on one of her favorite big shirts and some nice sweatpants. She was initially resting on her side of the bed, but she has a tendency to sleep with her hands on whatever is nearest to her, which just so happened to be you. She rolled over in her sleep, encircling your waist with her arms, and burying her head in your neck.
Tomorrow, morning would be interesting.

A/N: Honestly, all i have to say about this chapter is, sad traveler hours live rent free in my head and so does the idea that Beidou had a beautiful singing voice. Yeah... There's not much to say about this. Anyways, bye-bye. ^^
