--Xiao pov--
We went inside the restaurant that Venti planned to go but I feel something wrong
It tells me I shouldn't go inside but I ignored it
We got inside and Venti sat the opposite side of the couch near the window waiting for the waiter to come and order us food
The waiter was fast to come to our table, after we finished, he asked a question
"So Alatus, what makes you go to the Knights of Favonious?"
I have to admit, that's a smart move to ask for a spy like me, it's obvious that he wants to know more about me
"My father... my father sent me here, he wanted me to be a scientist and wanted to be smart like him, knowing him being a genius, I didn't try to pursue the matter."
He's thinking of another question, it's true that my father wants me to be like him, instead he gave up pursuing it on me and used me, I do feel like I'm being used for the past years, it's giving me a feeling of uneasiness
"So Alatus, what other jobs do you have other than being a scientist?"
What am I supposed to say to that? I'm a spy, I don't have a life, I tarnish reputation as ordered, I wanna quit the job, I don't wanna hurt more innocent people, I don't wanna hurt other businesses that isn't even my business
"Nevermind, if you don't want to tell me, it's fine."
"It's fine, It's not that sensitive, well... I don't have other plans other than being a scientist."
I'm scared, if I try to escape my organization, they'll hunt me down and kill me, I-i can't do this
"Alatus? Are you okay? You've been zoning out lately."
"I-i'm fine, I'm just over thinking things."
Venti gave me a concerned look, I know I messed up a bit but I can't go on like this, I'll keep this up until I have my Freedom
That's what people usually say, freedom is where you can roam free without anyone disturbing you
"Do you wanna still continue?" Venti asked concerningly (I know I confused some of Venti's pov and Xiao's but I just wanna get Xiao's perspective that I skipped on Venti so it won't get really revealing, spoiler alert the chaps are connected to the future hehehe)
I nodded and continued, he was taking notes using his mind
When I said that I didn't have other jobs, he got disappointed that I wasn't even a model because of how I looked
He knew that I was lying but decided to play along, I know he's a genius of somekind but not this kind, he always looks into my eyes as of looking inside as if I'm lying, it's giving me creeps down my spine looking at him staring at me
I saw the food coming to our way
"Venti, food is here, we should eat."
I don't want to get questioned even further, I'll use this chance to avoid it
"Oh, I didn't notice, hehe my bad..."
Is he acting or just his normal instinct, guess I'll have to ask him to buy groceries with me if he wants to go out with me
Buying him alcohol if he drinks, hope he loves alcohol(he does Xiao now go back to your line)
After we ate, I wanted to ask if he wanted to go with me for drinks, can't be too bad right?
"Venti"
"Hm?"
"I wanna go to the store to buy a few drinks, wanna come?"
I'll buy him something that'll get himself drunk
"Ooo, I'll come!"
Good, I'm done for of he didn't agree on that
We arrived at the store pretty quickly considering how close we were at the store
"Venti if you wanna buy something come to me, I'll buy it for you."
"Aww, thank you Alatus! I'll make sure I'll tell you want I want."
After a few moments of looking for a certain drink I found a wine or alcohol called Apple Cider?
It's pretty red but not that red, it consists a mixture of the inner of the apple and the bottle is just confusing me because of how red the bottle is can't simplicity be a word for a design?
Apple Cider... this could be his favorite since he loves eating apple while we were eating, he totally loves the stuff
As I was looking at the contents I heard a faint sound of shoes walking towards me, it was Venti, looking at the Cider in hand
"Ooo Alatus! I didn't know you like apple aswell!"
"I wanted to try a new drink so I thought of something new-"
"I love Apple Cider Alatus! I didn't know it could be your type, mind sharing your drink with me?"
Huh, he loves this kind of drink alot, I can't even say no to this one, this is the only chance after all
"Sure, It's not like I can finish this."
"Ehe~ Thank you!"
As I drove us home, I see him smiling, him being a talkative person, he always talked about anything that comes to his mind
I parked my car near the Knights of Favonious headquarters building since it's only a block away from the apartment
Venti quickly hopped out of the car and waited for me outside the car and grabbed my hand and went inside going to my room
He grabbed 2 cups in my kitchen counter that has cabinets in it
He poured quite alot on his cup and drank it without hesitation, who knew someone like him is a heavy drinker?
I was sitting on my couch observing him from afar it wasn't that hard
Plan is starting to work, he could speak absent mindedly and spill out some info that I can start working
After thinking for some time, I heard Venti slurring a bit, he sure does love drinking, seeing him drunk is quite funny
Venti was walking towards me and leaned making me blush from his position, he was on my chest muttering words
"Alatus~ you're so warm~ hic can you carry me to your hic room is?"
He really is drunk and heck he literally bought 2 bottles of Apple Cider earlier, this sucks
I was carrying him to my room, his breath was warm and the smell of alcohol was strong
I put him on my bed until Venti grabbed my shirt and pulled me down with him
"Alatus, you're so pretty, pretty... cute when you have so much desire in you."
