"Alright.. guess you're hired!" A huge grin formed on hus face as he finished writing down his details. Glitch smiled as well at his reaction and handed him the paper with his resume.
"Now, just sign this paper. It'll confirm that you want to become part of our staff. We also want to hire you because the pay is quite generous considering the circumstances. Now, sign here and here," he continued handing him several different papers.
Y/N took all of them and signed without hesitation. "Great! Well, thank you so much for accepting us, Y/N!" Said Glitch happily.
"You can start tomorrow. Seek will take you and your partner to your room." He nodded once before leaving the office. Y/N looked down at the pile of papers in his hands before getting up to go with Seek. "Sign your soul away.. didn't see that when I first read it!" He muttered under his breath and put it in his briefcase along with a pen.
"Okay mystery man.. let's go!" He smiled at Seek who responded by bowing slightly.
The pair left the building and went over to his room. Y/N opened the door and looked around the room. It was fairly bare with just two beds with some closets and cupboards against the far wall. Junjie was standing inside already. "Presume you got the job?" She smirked at him.
He scoffed at her smug expression. "Yeah! Yeah, I did!"
He threw himself onto the bed making the springs creak. The bed shifted from the sudden weight but still remained stable. "Well good job!" She smiled at him.
"Thanks, Junjie." He grinned at her as he rolled off the bed. "I think I wanna get changed into something more comfortable now... my suitcase is all packed and ready in my closet." He said looking around the room for his things. He grabbed a shirt he had been wearing before and walked towards his wardrobe. 'I know I have pants here somewhere...' He thought looking around. Eventually he found the jeans he had worn earlier in the day and headed towards her bathroom, and got changed.
"Seems like I'm starting tomorrow." He sighed contently as he exited the bathroom.
The two sat and talked for hours about whatever came to mind. When they finally fell asleep, they both felt happier than they probably should have been.
-Jack's POV-
"One more sip.. one more sip.." Jack murmured to himself. She'd drank her third cup of coffee in the hour she'd been awake and working. "Just gotta keep it together."
Eyes grabbed the cup from her and threw it on the floor shattering the remains into small pieces. The other employees gave him a sympathetic look while Eyes glared at them. They were all used to it though, the two had an ongoing feud.
"If I had known you were gonna be a little shit today then I wouldn't-"
Jack was cut off by Eyes bumping her shoulder, (yk the thing where they walk into your shoulder?) and then walking away, leaving Jack to pick up the shards of ceramic and glass. That fucking multi eyed freak.
Jack just wanted to end her shift, but Eyes made her stay extra to clean up the mess.
She eventually dragged her feet all the way to her room, unlocked her door and flopped face first onto her bed. 'One more minute and I can sleep.. hopefully..' Before she could even think further, she was fast asleep. She stayed like that for a few moments until someone started pounding at her door.
"Go away.." She mumbled half asleep.
The pounding grew louder. "Jack come on.. we don't really want to break your door do we?" Another voice chimed in. Jack slowly stood and walked towards the door. She opened it. It was Shadow and Glitch. Her only true friends along Figure and his best friend, Hide.
"What do you guys want.." She yawned trying to hide the fact that she was extremely annoyed. "Hey Jack, how was your morning.. are you ok? You seem a little out of it.." Glitch spoke carefully, taking note of the dark bags that lingered beneath Jack's eyes.
"Fine! Now why are you two bothering me? You've been bothering me every time we speak since work started and it's driving me insane!" Jack snapped. They stared at each other.
Finally Shadow broke eye contact, not knowing what else to say. "See you tomorrow I guess.." With that, the two left.
Jack shut and locked her door, collapsing against it and sliding to the floor. "Why is there always a new problem?"
Jack quickly fell asleep against the door not having a spare moment to spare for any thoughts or dreams.
She woke up to a text message from Hide.
"Hurry up! There is this amazing looking guy who just clocked in! YOU'RE MISSING IT!"
Jack groaned at the text.
She had only woken up, so she was in no mood to socialize right now. 'It couldn't hurt to go down there and check it out...' She thought as he got ready and made his way over.
