Chapter 4 - The Plan - Male POV

Jack was back at the library with Hide.

"So, how did it go?"

Jack wasn't paying attention. All she could think about were Y/N's beautiful E/C eyes. They were so expressive and full of life. His soft H/C hair looked amazing.. He was.. so.. pretty. That made her feel happy. It was like everything was perfect. But she had to be honest. She wasn't really sure whether he liked him. But she would make him love her.. even if it was the last thing she did.

"Jack? Did you actually listen to a single thing I said..?" Hide asked impatiently. Jack jumped a bit annoyed by Hide's sudden intrusion. "Yeah.. uhm.. whatever." Hide rolled his eyes.
"Listen, Hide. There is something I need to ask you."

Rush and Ambush were running around in the back, playing tag.

Hide nodded his head, encouraging her to continue. "Well... it's just... uhm. You see... my friend, Y/N? Do you think he likes me?"
"Why wouldn't he??"
Jack took a deep breath trying not to get angry at Hide. "I don't know. I mean, we are friends but I don't know if she feels anything more than that. And it worries me because I've never felt this way before so I wanted to know if you thought he might also have feelings for me..." Jack's expression was serious and sad at the same time.

"Whoa there, man. You need to calm down. This is obviously something that you need to talk about with someone else first. Like me. But, in all honesty, he has a girlfriend. Plus, who would wanna get with some freak like you?"

Jack suddenly found herself standing up and putting that smug piece of shit in a chokehold. Her hands around Hide's throat, tightening them, causing Hide to gasp for air.
"You think he doesn't want me!? You little son of a bitch!!" Jack yelled at Hide. Hide's face turned as pale as a ghost, his body shivering. Jack immediately let go.
"Sorry... I..I got carried away."

"Uh. Sure.."
There was an awkward silence. Hide rubbed the spot where Jack grabbed him.
"Just.. hear me out here. Okay?" Jack sighed.
"I'm listening." Hide muttered under his breath. Jack smiled slightly. Hide's stubbornness always seemed cute when it came to Y/N.
"I just want to be with him. I'd do anything for him. So... yeah." Jack trailed off. Hide didn't say anything. He sat quietly thinking. After what felt like forever, he slowly shook his head and looked up at Jack.
"What do you mean 'anything'? Like kidnapping him?" Hide snickered.
"Finally, Hide. I just didn't want to be the one to say it." Jack said softly.

Hide's jaw practically unhinged itself from his face. "You're telling me you are going to kidnap him?! Dude! How could you be such a fucking coward?!" Hide screamed. He couldn't believe how stupid his best friend was. "I know. I know. Shit. Listen. I will never lay a finger on him. I promise."
"Then why do you want to kidnap him? To win him over or what?!" Hide shouted at Jack angrily. "No! Well.. yes. Kind of. But that's not what I meant when I said 'do anything'. I meant 'everything'. Everything I am is for her. I am devoted to him. No one can ever come close to him again."

"You're a fucking psycho.. you know that?!" Hide was still shaking in anger. "That makes no sense! He. Doesn't. Like. You. So stop being such a retard!" Hide covered his face. Jack was desperate now. "Can.. can you do the dirty work? Just one time. All I need you to do is knock him out and put him in one of my closets or something.. I'll take care of Junjie..!" Jack begged.
Hide let out an audible groan. "Fine.." The two got up to leave when they heard Rush fall and break one of his bones. Ambush looked up at them with pleading eyes. The two burst out laughing as they ran out the library. If they stayed in there, they'd have to take responsibility. But right now, it was Figure's problem.

The duo had been in the library overnight and didn't notice. "It's time for work.. isn't it?" Jack yawned.

They made their way to the front desk but instead of starting their shifts, they saw Y/N sitting at a table by herself writing in a journal. Jack frowned. She nudged Hide. "Look. Y/N is in a bad mood." Jack whispered. "What..? Oh, yeah." Hide replied nervously.
