Jack quickly fell asleep against the door not having a spare moment to spare for any thoughts or dreams.
He woke up to a text message from Hide.
"Hurry up! There is this amazing looking girl who just clocked in! YOU'RE MISSING IT!"
Jack groaned at the text.
He had only woken up, so he was in no mood to socialize right now. 'It couldn't hurt to go down there and check it out...' He thought as he got ready and made his way over.
-Y/N's POV-
Y/N and Junjie woke up to the sound of loud knocking on their door. Y/N opened her eyes slowly to see who was bothering them. It was Screech. "Time for work, sleepyhead!" He exclaimed cheerfully. Junjie sighed and sat up stretching his arms above his head. "What do you want, Screech?" She asked tiredly.
Screech ignored her question completely and continued, "Come on lazybones let's go!" Y/N rolled her eyes but got out of bed anyways. "Do you have everything ready for today? You better do! I don't have all day." He stated sternly. Y/N nodded and headed towards the bathroom to get ready.
She brushed her teeth and got dressed while listening to Screech chattering about random things. Finally she came back out of the bathroom feeling refreshed. "See you later Junj!" She smiled at him waving goodbye before walking away.
Screech led the way to the lobby making sure that Y/N didn't get lost on the way there. As soon as they got there, this one shadowy entity was looking at her with a strange expression on its face. It instantly pulled out its phone and began texting someone.
Y/N ignored this and clocked in. She began smiling and talking to Screech about what to do.
-Jack's POV-
Jack was curious to see what Hide was talking about. "Hide what did-" He was cut off by the sight in front of him. "Holy shit.." He gasped softly as he realized it. The scene seemed almost like something straight out of a movie. The girl of his dreams was standing there chatting happily with Screech.
Hide ran over to Jack. "Jack! You see her right?" Jack didn't respond, but kept staring at the beautiful stranger. He was obsessing over her. It felt like she was his very heartbeat. "Jack! Are you listening to me?!" Hide waved a hand in front of Jack's face. "Did you even hear anything I said?!"
Jack snapped out of his trance and blushed at his friends reaction. "Sorry, yeah I heard what you said. But who is she?"
"Her name is Y/N, and she works here." Hide pointed to the girl standing behind the counter. Eyes walked up to Jack and Hide. "What the fuck are you two doing? Get back to work!" They shouted.
Jack and Hide turned around to start working without another word. This continued until finally lunch break came along, after which they decided to just leave the shift.
"I'm way too tired for this.." Jack groaned.
"Let's head to the library I guess." Hide suggested.
"Sure."
The duo made their way through many doors until they got to door 50. Once they reached the door, Hide knocked and a female voice replied, saying, "One second!" Jack just barged in anyways, it's not like he wanted to wait. They were greeted by Figure, trapped under a bookshelf. Y/N was crouched next to her with an amused smile plastered across her face. "Hey boys! Long time no see! What brings you here?" Figure looked between the two boys. Hide answered first, "We just.. Wanted to visit you."
"Who are you?" Y/N looked puzzled.
"Oh! Where are my manners? I'm Hide and this is Jack!" Hide bowed. "H- Hi.. m.. my name's J... Jack.." He muttered shyly.
Jack's breath hitched slightly at the sound of Y/N's voice. "Anyways, I'm going to head back to my room."
"Wait! L- let.. let me take you back..!" Jack stuttered quickly running out of words.
"Oh.. no no no.. It's okay! I can walk.." She responded. Jack looked down and scratched the back of his neck nervously. He really didn't want Y/N to leave him alone. "Come on, won't it be nice to walk with someone?" Y/N finally gave in.
"Okay. Let's go then..."
-Y/N's POV-
Y/N thought Jack was a bit cute. His cheeks would flush whenever he was nervous or embarrassed. It was adorable. Y/N noticed how uncomfortable Jack was when he walked beside her. Every little thing she touched, it'd make him jump or look away. When she spoke, he would always glance at her and quickly turn away. Soon they reached Y/N's door. It was evening. She unlocked the door and a man emerged. "Whose this?" Jack inquired.
"Fuck is this?" Junjie looked annoyed.
"This is my boyfriend, Junjie!" Y/N smiled.
-Jack's POV-
Jack heard the word 'boyfriend' echo in his mind. He was the only person Y/N could love. Who the fuck was Junjie? He wasn't important to Y/N, right? Right? Jack was going to make sure Y/N loved him and only him. "Oh yeah, I never introduced myself. My name is Jack.." Jack said holding out his hand awkwardly.
Junjie glanced at Y/N as if to ask permission before giving him his hand. "Nice to meet you Jack.." Junjie smirked. Y/N frowned.
"Nice meeting you, Junjie." Jack smiled before turning to Y/N. "I guess I'll be heading off now. Have a good night and I hope to see you again, Y/N.." He said before rushing off.
-Y/N's POV-
"You know, if he tries anything, I'll kill him." Junjie growled as he slammed the door shut.
"Please stop.. Just drop it.." Y/N pleaded.
"Fine." Junjie huffed.
After that whole fiasco, Junjie calmed down. "Listen, I just don't want that Jackass or whatever his name was to hurt you."
"Appreciate it. But please stop worrying..." Y/N begged, pulling Junjie into a hug. Junjie hugged back tightly as well. They stayed like that for a while, silently enjoying each other's company. After a while, Junjie broke the hug.
"Hey, why don't we watch movies? I got a tv for our barren apartment!" Junjie grinned brightly. Y/N chuckled before nodding.
They grabbed some snacks from the fridge before settling on their beds. Both watched the same series until they fell asleep.
-Jack's POV-
Jack was back at the library with Hide.
"So, how did it go?"
Jack wasn't paying attention. All he could think about were Y/N's beautiful E/C eyes. They were so expressive and full of life. Her soft H/C hair looked amazing.. She was.. so.. pretty. That made him feel happy. It was like everything was perfect. But he had to be honest. He wasn't really sure whether she liked him. But he would make her love him.. even if it was the last thing he did.
"Jack? Did you actually listen to a single thing I said..?" Hide asked impatiently. Jack jumped a bit annoyed by Hide's sudden intrusion. "Yeah.. uhm.. whatever." Hide rolled his eyes.
"Listen, Hide. There is something I need to ask you."
