Road Trip

" All packed and ready to go." said Eddie placing the last bag in the back of his van " Tell me again why we had to start so early in the morning?" yawned Billy " Because they said it will rain today and I want us to reach the motel before the rain starts." you said  and the boys shared a look " You know that the weather reports most times are wrong right?" asked the metal head " Just get inside the car." you said with a sigh as the two laughed " As you command Chief." they said opening the doors. Eddie opened the door for you and gave you a little bow while Billy pulled you next to him in a side hug " Alright folks, lets get this show on the road." said Eddie he turned the key, the engine started and " The Trooper" by Iron Maiden started blasting threw the speakers.

You had only been driving for a couple hours, Hawkins long behind you when drops of rain started dropping, you looked at the drops the fell on the windshield and then turned to look at the other two with a ' I told you so.' look " It's just a few drops." said Billy and just then thunder rumbled and more rain started pouring " I think it would be better if we stopped somewhere." said Eddie as the rain picked up " It's not that bad." dismissed Billy and you smirked when the sound of thunder sounded again " Told you so." you whispered " Ok yea emmm....Can one of you open the window to look outised for a place to park cause I can't see shit." said Eddie trying to focus on the road. Billy opened his window and you cursed as cold air and rain hit you " Closed gas station on the left!" yelled Billy so he could be heard from the wind.

With quiet some effort Eddie managed to park without crashing into anything " So now what?" grumbled Billy " Now we wait for it to stop." you said and the male sighed " Gonna die from boredom in here." he grumbled " And the cold. Knew I should have stick to my jeans." said Eddie rubbing his legs with his hands to create some friction " Thank God I was the one that ended up packing." you said moving to the back " You two would be dead without me." you said tossing a pair of jean to Eddie and some playing cards to Billy. The two looked at the items in their hands, Eddie quickly changing from the jean shorts to the trousers, you caught Billy's gaze wondering to the other male as he changed, it wasn't the first time, he had stolen glances when the boy had changed back at his trailer as well but now he was straight up staring at him " Hey is there a chance that my long sleeved Hellfire shirt is in there?" asked the metalhead removing his t-shirt " What....Yea! Yea I have it...emmm here." you said snapping back in focus and going threw the things.

Some more time passed, the three of you sat at the back of the van, playing random card games while not completely agreeing with each other on the rules and eating some packed food and snacks that you had brought with you " It's ridiculous how well prepared you came." said Billy " Those are the preparations for exploring an alternate dimension, not a trip." said Eddie making you choke on what you were eating  " It still hasn't stopped." you mumbled looking out the window but you weren't really able to see anything since there was fog outside " I think it is actually getting worse." said Eddie narrowing his eyes  as he tried to get a better look. He opened the back door of the van a bit and a little further ahead, where the roof of the gas station ended you could hear how hard the rain was hitting the ground " Sweetheart please tell me that you brought a blanket or something cause there is a chance that we'll have to sleep here." he said as he closed the door. When he turned around he found you holding two different blankets and laughed " Never doubted you for a second." he said. 

" I need to take a piss." said Eddie as you gathered the things to sleep, you had placed a type of battery lattern at the side so you could see " Ok....what do you want us to do about it?" asked Billy puzzled " Hold my cock. What the hell do you think? Just keep the door of the van open so if anything happens I can run inside. It's.....creepy out there." said Eddie as you handed him a box of tissues " How...how many stuff have you put in those bags?" he asked " If you don't go now I'm closing the door. It's cold." said Billy as the other boy hurried outside.

You shivered an rubbed your hands up and down your arms " He sure is taking his time. It's so cold." you grumbled, Billy hummed wrapping his arms around you " I know a way of keeping you warm." he mumbled kissing your neck an you smacked his hand " Not now." you hissed as he ignored you, his hand going under your shirt " Billy!" you called raising your voice and staring at him straight in the eye " What?" he asked as you pulled yourself away " You know...I'm done avoiding this subject. Why do you get like this every time Eddie is around?" you asked and his eyes widen a bit before he quickly collected himself " I really don't understand what you're saying." he said with a small chuckle " Every time we're around Eddie you get overly touchy and like that....and it's different from...from times that it's just the two of us." you said. 

The air around you grew tense " You know I love you I really do." he said taking hold of your hands " I love you like crazy ...." " But I'm not the only one you feel like that for." you stated and Billy avoided your gaze looking at the blanket with a look mixed with disgust and fear " It's not us bad as you think, it's-" " Disgusting." he cut you off with a sharp tone " It is not normal, something completely out of the ordinary. You can not love two people the same way especially another...." he stopped not wanting to say it, fearing that his words would be a final confirmation on the way he felt " Let's just drop this." he said and you tried to give his hands a reassuring squeeze but he ripped them away.

" Damn it's cold! Doesn't feel like summer at all." said Eddie jumping in the van and closing the door behind him, he stopped seeing the two of you frowning and busying yourselves with something else, you just shuffling threw the bags while Billy shuffled the cards again and again " So....did anything happen?" he asked " No." replied Billy sharply making the boy flinch a bit " I'm going to sleep. You should as well, since we have a half day drive to get to where we need to." you said laying down and covering yourself with the blanket " Yea, sure." mumbled the metalhead and looked at Billy " What about you?" he asked the other boy " I'll have a smoke first." he said pushing past him to the front and opening the window a bit.

Your body felt cold and you groaned at the absence of a blanket " Stop hoarding the blanket." you grumbled to Eddie trying to pull it to you, finding to much resistance you opened your eye " Eddie." you called but the boy wouldn't budge. The van was pitch black and you stretched to look for the light, as it illuminated the room you froze seeing the familiar vines all over the vehicle, you rushed to Eddie yelling his name and turning him around. A scream of horror left your mouth as you saw the boy's disfigured face, his eyes were sucked in and his jaw was broken leaving his mouth open in a way that it seemed like he was screaming " BILLY!" you called spotting the boy's silhouette at the front, as you placed your hand on his shoulder the boy's head slowly turned around, black veins all over his face and body, a single tear run from one of his eyes " It hurts." he whispered and just like that his body exploded turning into a fleshy mass. 

Backing away with tears running down your face, you felt your blood run cold as a pair of hands was softly placed on your shoulders, slowly looking up you were met with blue eyes and an easy going smile " Oh, that is not the face that I was expecting you to make when you saw me again." he said whipping your tears with his thumbs " You...no we closed the gate...we got rid of the Mindflayer." you said, his thumbs moved from your cheeks to the middle of your forehead, a series of images flashing in your head.

A scream  ripped from your throat as you shot awake, the two boys on each side of you jumped up " What the hell was that for!?" yelled Eddie but froze seeing you crying " Hey. Hey sweetheart." you wrapped your arms around him pulling him close, the metalhead hugged you back and looked at Billy who moved close to you, you wrapped your other arm around him, grip tight enough to make his skin turn red.
