The slick cards flicked from one pale hand to another as Hisoka's eyes narrowed in on Kurapika and Leorio. His body slowly moves towards the two as he shuffles his beloved card deck.

Bodies scattered the two parties on the open field they found themselves in. The smell of blood covered the occasional fog that contaminated the air.

"I was planning on behaving myself until at least the second phase, but the first phase is boring me - so I figured I'd help with the selection process... I will judge every one of you~" Hisoka playfully smiled at the remaining group as he continued to menacingly shuffle the deck.

"Judge us!? Ha! You stupid? Once you lose the examiner in this fog, it's over. You can't even see what's in front of you! It's absolutely impossible to find the examiner again!" A random examinee from behind the clown began to ridicule Hisoka, "So that means you're also eliminated with the rest of us!"

"How humiliating~ How dare you compare me to the likes of you..." Hisoka sighed, turning to the man. "As my gift for your journey to the underworld, let me teach you that there is nothing a magician can't do."

The examinees that surrounded the insane man all gripped onto their weapons, eyes glaring into their common target as they prepared to be rid of the clown.

"Don't worry... this one card is enough for you all," Hisoka grinned, holding the 4 of hearts in front of his face.

And, just as he said, Hisoka began to duck around the large group of examinees with great speed - slicing each and every one of them until only three remained, standing alone in the field of fresh bodies.
