I could feel the sadness radiating from my home island, the breeze whipped through my hair as the salty smell of the ocean entered my nose.

I stood at the Quarter Deck, my eyes looking down on my Aunt. The woman that raised me, cared for me and forgave me. I had a lot to owe her, and when I got back I knew I could give her everything she'd ever hoped for.

A sad smile greased over her lips as she waved to me. A raised my arm and dramatically waved back, a large smile on my face. "Bye, Aunt Mito!! You watch! I'll become a great hunter!" I yell to her.

I then move sideways slightly and hold onto the flag pole, my eyes beaming down at my home as the ship ever so slowly drifted away.

Then, I could hear a series of mocking snickers, and I turn around in confusion. " 'Great hunter' he says... thinks he's got it in the bag" A large, blonde man that sat on the floor smirked at me. "There's a dozen aspiring hunters here, kid. That's a tiny fraction of the number that apply for the Hunter Exam every year, and only a handful of those are accepted."

"Even if you are, there's every chance that the exam is the last thing you'll accomplish," He tells me, "So don't go getting so cocky, kid..."

I stare at him with a frown, registering what he had said. There was no reason for him to have said that, though I suppose nerves could make anybody a little angry.

Slowly, I walk away from the group that was gathered on the deck and made my way further inside the ship. There were more in the room, each one was either large or intimidating.
