Y/N'S POV

Mrs.Macready: Come on. Good girl. Come on. Come on.

We were just begining to see the professors house as we came up the hill. Although house is a bit of an understatement. The place is massive more like a mansion than a house.
Mrs.Macready stopped the wagon as we all stepped off and started toward the front door. As we entered the welcoming hall Mrs.Macready spoke up.

Mrs.Macready: Professor Kirke is not accustomed to havin' children in this house. And, as such, there are a few rules we need to follow. There will be no shoutin'. Or runnin'. No improper use of the dumbwaiter.

Y/N(^): How is that a rule? Has it happened before?

Susan went to touch a beautiful stone head bust as we climbed the stairs.

Mrs.Macready: No touchin' of the historical artifacts!

Susan stepped away from the stone bust looking slightly shocked. I was slight annoyed that she yelled but I could see her point. I placed a hand on Susans shoulder. She looked back at me and smiled. It was a cute smile. I was brought back by Mrs.Macready stating the final rule.

Mrs.Macready: And above all, there will be no disturbin' of the professor.

As we continued up the stairs Lucy came sprinting from behind me. It honestly gave me a bit of a scare. We were showed our room. Yes I said room. Given how big this place is you think there'd be more than one but i guess they must be filled with 'historical artifacts'.
I put my bag down on the floor as we left for more tour. Didn't need to be luggin' it around if it was just going to end up back here.

~TIMESKIP~

We were in our room preparing for bed as Peter listened to the radio.

Radio: German aircrafts carried out a number of attacks on Great Britain last night. The raids which had-

I had enough and got up to turn it off but Susan beat me to it. Peter looked extremely annoyed but his expression softened when we gestured to Lucy who was crying in bed. As we walked over Lucy sat up.

Lucy: The sheets feel scratchy.

Susan: Wars don't last forever Lucy. We'll be home soon.

Lucy smiled. I did too it was nice that they were trying to cheer her up even though they had no way of knowing when they were going to get home.

Edmund: Yeah, if home's still there.

That took the smile right off my face.

Susan: Isn't it time you were in bed.

I kinda wanted to put my piece in but thought against it as it seemed like a family matter.

Edmund: *scoffs* Yes mum.

Peter: Ed!

I was right. Edmund sighed he seemed sorry but didn't say anything. Peter turned his attention back to Lucy.

Peter: You saw outside. This place is huge.

Y/N: Imagine all the fun we could have. Hide and seek for example. So many places to hide.

Lucy smiled again but she still seemed sad.

Peter: Exactly what Y/N said. we can do whatever we want here. Tomorrow's going to be great. Really.

As i climbed into bed i thought about today.
First i had run the length of a train to find my compartment. Then I met the prettiest girl I've ever seen. Next we rode a wagon up to a mansion. Finally we had talked some happiness into Lucy even if Edmund was a bit rude. Tomorrow should be just as fun.

( sorry about not updating i fell ill over the weekend i'm better now so hopefully more regular updates.)
