Y/N's POV:

It's been a couple hours since the party was sent to rescue Edmund. I've been in mine and Peter shared tent thinking. This whole thing is almost too much. First I was sent away from home to be far away from war only to be thrown into another one not even 48 hours later. And waiting for another person I know to come back is agonizing.

Peter gets up and steps outside I'm not really paying attention at this point and I honestly just want to fall asleep. It's early morning now so that would be impossible. Deciding doing something might help I step outside with Peter, Susan, and Lucy joining us moments later.

Looking up towards the small cliff face I almost did a double take Edmund was standing there talking with Aslan. Lucy grew excited and tried to sprint towards Edmund, but Peter stopped her. Lucy was put out a bit but a look from Peter stifled any complaining.
Aslan and Edmund seemed to notice us and with a few final words Edmund started his way down to us. Aslan watched as Edmund made his way down before following him. Edmund walked up to us with his hands In his pockets looking down. With him standing in front of us I got a good look at him. He looked a little worse for wear. Small cut on his lip that seemed to be swelling but other wise fine.

Aslan: What's done is done. There is no need to speak to Edmund about what is past.

Aslan walked away to let us reconnect.

Edmund: Hello.

Lucy was the first to move and immediately went to hug her older brother as tight as she could which he returned in kind. Susan was next as she walked over and also gave him a hug.

Susan: Are you all right?

Edmund: I'm a little tired.

He turned to Peter and Peter motioned behind him towards our tent.

Peter: Get some sleep.

Edmund started toward the tent sparing a brief glance my way before keeping his gaze on Peter.

Peter: And, Edmund. Try not to wander off.

Edmund smiled back at Peter who also had the biggest smile on his face.

We all sat eating a hefty brunch. Edmund seemed to be enjoying it the most. I hadn't really had the chance to speak with him yet and it was starting to weight me down.

Y/N: Edmund.

He looked up from his plate to me I could fell the other looking at me to.

Y/N: I think we got off on the wrong foot so too speak.

He just nodded and stayed silent.

Y/N: I was kind of a jerk to you and I'm sorry.
What do say care to start over?

I stuck my hand out and waited. It was one second. Then two. And finally at three he took my hand in a firm hand shake.

Edmund: I'm sorry also. I was much more of a jerk to you. To all of you.

He slowly looked around the table. The air was heavy so in took it upon myself to lighten it.

Y/N: Sooo.... I can do magic.

Edmund stared at me for a second. First Processing, Then confusion, which turned to amazement when I showed him the Wind Spell: Aspiro.
Edmund: What else can you do?

Y/N: Right now I only know three spells.
Aspiro, The Wind/Gust Spell. Fulminis, The lightning bolt Spell. And This one.

Y/N: Eritque Arcus Ingus!

Releasing the Spell caused a whole load of small colorful explosions to go off above my out stretched hand it went on for a few seconds before I closed my hand and it stopped.

Y/N: That one is more of a party trick.

Edmund almost looked like he had stars in his eyes and Lucy was bouncing in her seat Peter was looking at them with a smile on his face.
Susan met my eyes and we stared at each other. She was studying me just as much as I was her. The atmosphere settled down and the awkwardness evaporated. At least for now.
