Ch4: New Group

6th July 2012.
You had been a trainee under BigHit for around 7 months now, your singing and dancing skills had reached sky limits.
Today, you were suddenly called into Bang PD-nim's office. You went in bowed and took a seat.
"Hello Ms. Park. I've been speaking to your dance and singing teachers and they have told me that you are ready to join a group to debut."
You were shocked with the news and it took a few moments to digest before you just simply nodded.
"I have called in the group you are gonna be debuting with, they should be here any moment."

Just then the door opened and 7 boys walked in lightly giggling to themselves. Only two of them were quiet, and one of them was Jungkook.

"Jungkook?!", you choked out in shock.
"Quinn? Wait, you're our new member!?" Jungkook looked up and spoke.
There were two other familiar faces, Taehyung and Jimin.
"Quinn?"
You looked the other way and saw the two men looking at you like a shock wave hit them.

"Looks like you've already met some of them." Bang PD said as he smiled.
"Wait we are gonna have a girl debuting with us?!?", two of the men spoke up, almost shouting in shock.
"Calm down Yoongi and Namjoon. You will get used to it slowly. Quinn here also has experience with boys. She had a older brother and a cousin who lived with her."
The mention of your older brother broke your heart a little bit you tried your best to blink away the tears incoming.

The men started to relax a little from their state of shock from knowing that a girl would be debuting with them.
Only Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin looked a little happy to have you with them.
"Please take Quinn to your dorm boys she will be living with you from now on."
You packed up your suitcase and bags and got into the van with the boys. You took a seat between Jungkook and Taehyung and the van started.
You were quiet when Taehyung suddenly spoke up,
"Jungkook you didn't tell me you were friends with Quinn!"
"Hyung! I told you I met a girl a few months ago. I just didn't tell you the name of the girl...And u didn't tell me you knew her either!"
"I guess that's fair."
The rest of the car drive was quiet except from a few whispers from the other members you didn't know, but you guessed they were probably talking about you. When you reached the dorm, Jungkook and Taehyung took your luggage and you gave them a thanking smile.
You went in the dorm and you guys gathered in the dining room.

"Ok guys, let's introduce ourselves to Quinn and then Quinn will introduce herself to us ok?, one of the men spoke up.
You nodded.
"My name is Kim Namjoon, I'm the leader of this group, 17yrs old, born on 12th September 1994. I hope we get to know eachother well." He smiled gently and sat down. Somehow he reminded you of your older brother and you smiled a little.
"My name is Kim SeokJin, I'm the oldest here, 19 yrs old, born on 4th December 1992. I heard you can cook, i look forward to cooking with you." He also smiled softly and sat down.
"My name is Min Yoongi, I'm the main rapper of this group, 18yrs old, born on 3rd March 1993." He was a little on the harsher side but you figured he may warm up over time.
"My name is Jung Hoseok and I'm the main dancer of this group! 17yrs old, I'm born on 18th February 1994. I hope we get along very well!" The man's voice beamed and he happily sat down.
"You already know me but, I'm Park Jimin, oldest of the maknae line, 16yrs old, born on 13th October 1995." He also smiled happily and sat down.
"I'm Kim Taehyung, the biggest prankster here, 16yrs old, born on 30th December 1995!" He beamed and sat down
"I'm Jeon Jungkook, main vocalist of the group, 14yrs old, born on 1st September 1997."
"Okay Quinn, we all have introduced ourselves, now it's your turn." Namjoon spoke up.

You stood up trying to hide your anxiety the best you can. "My name is Park Quinn, I'm gonna be the main vocalist, main dancer and maknae of this group. I'm 14yrs old, born on 4th October 1997. I hope I get to know all of you very well." You smiled shyly and sat down.
All the boys gave you a small smile except Yoongi, you knew he would take time to come around.

"Quinn, your bed will be the empty one above Jungkook's, it's new because its just been put up for our new member." Jin spoke.
"Our practices will start from tomorrow so we should all get some rest.", Hoseok said and you all agreed. You went to bed and fell asleep immediately because you were really tired from the long day.

THIRD PERSON POV:
The guys waited till Quinn fell asleep and then snuck out of their beds to the dining room.
"Man, she IS a shy one, I hope we can break her out of it." Namjoon spoke up first.
"Yeah I agree, but I'd love to have her as our new member." Taehyung said as quietly as possible to not wake her up.
A few nods were seen.
"She seems pretty decent, just give me some time to come around." Yoongi spoke up.
"She is just as shy and cute as you Jungkook." Hoseok joked a little.
Jungkook blushed a little, "Hyung!"
"Since she has experience with boys, as in her brother and cousin, we can be more like ourselves but be a little cautious before we can completely open up. We don't wanna make her uncomfortable.", Jin said.
"By the way, why do you think PD-nim said 'had a brother'?." Jimin asked out of curiosity.
"I found that weird too, maybe we'll ask her when she opens up more, for now we have to get her to talk to us properly." Yoongi said.
After the little conversation the boys went to sleep, hoping to be on happy and good terms with you.
