Ch8: The Birthday Surprise!

It had now been around 3 months since your debut, and a very exciting day was nearing..... Jungkookie's birthday!!!
You were very excited for it (maybe a little more than him himself..) and brought the topic up everyday.
"Woah Quinn, you've been more excited about Kookie's bday than him himself! Calm down a little." Yoongi said, a little annoyed that the topic was being brought up all the time nowadays..
"It's just that I'm kinda over excited! I don't know why tho...Heh."

A few days later,
It was the day before Jungkook's birthday and the first day of a MV shooting.
You were just practicing your steps in the makeup room when suddenly Jimin pulled you in the practice room, and you saw the staff, all the members, except Jungkook, and your managers there....
"Uhh, oppa what's going on....I'm getting scared....Don't stare at me like that." You said a little shocked at the stares you were receiving.
"Calm down Muffin, this is not about you..." Taehyung said chuckling..
"We are gonna throw a prank on Jungkookieee.." Jimin said cheekily..
"He has gone for the lipsync shoot right now, basically when he is gonna start joking around, you guys start saying in a loud voice like 'Is this a joke to you?' or 'Is this funny?' something like that to like scare him a little...." the manager continued what he was saying before you came..
"Ok we got this, we'll just explain it to Quinnie, because clearly she doesn't get whats going on here.." Namjoon said staring at you.
"Yes please do." You went and sat down beside Jin.
The boys explained you the plan and you liked it alot but a side of you still conflicted the plan a little...
"And please Quinn-ah, I know Kookie is your best friend so please try to act your besttt.." Jimin said, as if answering your unspoken question.
You nodded and chuckled with excitement.

At 12am (1st Sept 13),
"Kookie day? Kookie day yah? Oh Kookie day~~~" Jungkook hummed as he saw the messages on YouTube on the phone.
You giggled a little looking at him but didn't go and bring it up, as you knew the plan.
The MV shooting continued seriously until the acting started..
"Jungkook you have to get the center right!" One of the producers screamed out from the camera area.
"Oh ok, I didn't realise." Jungkook responded a little shocked.
After a short talk with the dance teacher, the always focused Jungkook was now even more focused to get his center right.
A few mins later, everyone gathered in the waiting room and the plan official started...You were nervous inside but did your best to hide it.
"I matched with the sticked-tape." Jungkook said trying to clear his confusion.
"Why are you like that? Just because it's your birthday your restless??" Namjoon said with perfect tension in his voice.
In a few minutes the staff left and it was just the manager and the members..
"What are you doing? What are you upto right now?" The manager started his acting streak...
"I just marked with the sticked-tape and was on the left of the dancer hyungs.."
"Jeon Jungkook! So you think everyone is wrong and your right???"
"No...."
"What's wrong with you?"
"I'm sorry..."
You were trying to hide your small tears too as you kinda felt the manager being a little too harsh, you tried your best to control it. The manager left and now only the members were in the room..
"Jungkook-ah, are you mad cause we didn't celebrate your birthday?? Namjoon started.
"No no.."
"You should have stopped joking around too, there has to be a stop somewhere.." Yoongi spoke up...
Then for around 5-7 minutes, Namjoon kept speaking to Jungkook explaining himself,,, Jungkook looked at me several times, I mostly kept my head down but when we made eye contact, I just gave him a sad face and shaked my head softly. I saw him frown so I could see it effected him..I wanted it to go on but at the same time wanted to stop it....
"Is it because I'm not a good leader??" Namjoon continued,
"No no.."
Then the staff came in and called to continue the shooting.
"Will it be ok if I move a little to the right??" Jungkook asked staff wanting to get it perfect now.
"Yes, just a little bit!"
"Ok."
What Kook didn't know was that Yoongi was standing outside the door of the room with a cake in his hands, candles lit..
Suddenly everyone started singing, "Saeng il chuk a hamnida, Saeng il chuk a hamnida! Saranghaneun Jungkookie, Saeng il chuk a hamnidaaa!!!"
Jungkook looked around the room in shock then at the camera and tears started rolling down. He blew out the candles on the cake and took a picture with the members, while still crying.
"Jungkook say some of your thoughts!" Namjoon spoke up.
"Producer-nim, you're too mean!!! And where is Q?? She frowned at me like I commited the biggest sin ever.."
"Really? Wow I thought she would give it away!!" Jin said
"No! She's a really good actor hyung!"
"Where is she though??"
The others didn't realise that you had quietly slipped of to the corner of the room and were now crying, you had been holding it back since Jungkook started crying. Although they were tears of happiness...
"Plum?? Oh there she is..Wait why are you crying?!?" Hoseok spoke up shocked..
"Quinnie are you crying because our Jungkookie is crying???Awww our maknae is soo cutee.." Jin said in a teasing tone, also making sure you're okay..
You got up wiping your tears,
"First of all, Saeng il Chuka Jungkook shii!, and there might be two reasons I suddenly started crying......
Manager-nim and Namjoon hyung you were really a little mean and the last string was when Jungkookie started crying..hehe"
"Sorry Jungkook-ah!!" came the manager's voice from the other room.
You and Jungkook hugged eachother and laughed a little over the acting.
"I tried my best to hide my nervousness, so i just frowned.."
"Ya, and it effected me badly!"
"I know, i saw the look on your face and immediately felt bad.."

"Ah it's vexing, vexing! Their acting has improved soo much, especially Namjoon hyung!"
"Daebak this was!!" Hoseok, Jimin and Taehyung spoke up..
After filming, you all returned to your dorm and ate dinner laughing over the amazing prank..
"This was the best birthday ever!!"
