'Yolanda are you really going to listen to vintage thanksgiving music for thanksgiving this year?' questioned jasmine as she heard vintage music in the background while putting up decorations around the whole house that afternoon.
'what I love vintage music and it's perfect for thanksgiving time how could I not enjoy the music this time of year especially on thanksgiving day when I can only listen to good music to get me in the spirit of the holidays' said Yolanda excitedly as she was dancing around the room while the music played in the background.
'well I'm glad that you're enjoying the music I need your help with the rest of the decorations if at all possible that you could help me out with this that would be greatly appreciated' said jasmine while handing Yolanda the rest of the stuff to decorate the rest of the house for the thanksgiving celebration that was taking place at their house this week.
'okay I help give me the rest of the decorations I know what to do with rest of the stuff that I can do to make it look good but I need some ideas for inspiration that is just to make it look more realistic than anything else that is not realistic to me but in reality I know how to make it beautiful so watch out as I start decorating this thing called furniture to decorate this living room' said Yolanda as she started to decorate the whole living room with beautiful streamers and hangers for the lights that was on the ceiling.
'you are very talented Yolanda and I appreciate that you are wanting to help me out with the decorations for thanksgiving this year' says jasmine surprisingly while watching Yolanda do all of the work.
'you are going to help me with rest of this project that I put together for thanksgiving this month?' questioned Yolanda while looking at her with blank expression on her face.
'okay okay I'll go ahead then and finish the rest of the decorations you didn't do over there okay' said jasmine as picked up the rest of unfinished items that were left in the box.
'thank you I'm so proud of you for doing this I'm sure my friends will be happy to see you working on this project for once in your life' said Yolanda while finishing up with the rest of decorations inside of the box that was laying out on the floor.
'okay time to do invitations for the thanksgiving celebration' said jasmine while putting the cards on dining room table and quickly started writing each individual cards to send to their friends for the thanking celebration that was taking place at their house that night.
'I will need to do some reading about thanksgiving and present it to all my friends when they get here tonight' said Yolanda as she grabbed a few books from the bookshelf and instantly opened the first book she saw which was actually about thanksgiving.
as soon as she finished reading the rest of book she was surprised to find out that the pilgrims started thanksgiving and they had been friends with the Indians that had thanksgiving dinner with them.
'wow that's amazing that the Indians were able to have a good time with the pilgrims this thanksgiving I'm sure it wasn't a surprise to them that they would get together for thanksgiving' said Yolanda as she continued to read the rest of the book to herself.
as soon as she was done reading the whole entire book about thanksgiving she instantly felt like the pilgrims that had nothing left over but to celebrate thanksgiving instead of just being a part of the festivities that was half the fun in that when she wanted to celebrate it with her friends and jasmine as well.
as soon as she finished all of the rest of books that she was reading and she put them away back on the shelf she was prepared for tonight's thanksgiving celebration just by reading all of the books that she had read before tonight's event.
'will you please send these cards out to everyone I need to make sure that they get the cards out sooner rather than later' asked jasmine while finishing up cards for each person that was on list for the thanksgiving celebration that night.
'sure thing I will do it now' said Yolanda while holding the whole stack of invitation cards in her hand while she grabbed her coat and walked out the front door to deliver the cards to everyone that was on their street.
surprisingly everyone that got invitations from jasmine was thrilled that jasmine was holding a thanksgiving celebration at her house tonight at 6:00 pm and they would provide drinks at the house as well as food so they could celebrate with jasmine and Yolanda.
as soon as night fell jasmine's friends and neighbors came over to jasmine's house they were instantly greeted by the front door when jasmine opened the door that night and let everyone in so that thanksgiving celebration can start on time this year.
'so the first order of business is Yolanda will tell a thanksgiving story to all of you guys' said jasmine as she told everyone to sit down in a chair so that they can listen to the story that Yolanda was about to tell it to everyone about thanksgiving.
~Yolanda's story about thanksgiving~
the first thanksgiving was held in 1926 when the pilgrims had their first thanksgiving meal with the Indians and subsequently to their surprise that it was very different to have thanksgiving with them instead just themselves having thanksgiving they knew that it would be the right thing to do as pilgrims and they eventually went with this plan in mind that they would eventually become friends with the Indians as well as enjoying the thanksgiving feast with them and it was so nice that they included them on their conversation and never looked back at their old ways of life because they had friends now.
~end of Yolanda's story~
everyone eventually clapped when Yolanda finished her story about thanksgiving and then they instantly went over the dining room table to serve themselves and get drinks as well.
'I'm so glad that you read that story Yolanda' said jasmine while pouring herself a glass of tea and taking some food with her.
'thank you I read a lot about thanksgiving this year because I knew that I needed to tell a story to all of my friends about thanksgiving this year' said Yolanda while grabbing some food.
'I'm surprised that you actually remembered that story' replied jasmine as she sat down in a chair while having a conversation with Yolanda.
'yeah I'm pretty good at telling stories but I'm pretty sure I'll tell one when Christmas comes around let's be thankful first before we even think about Christmas this year' replied Yolanda as she sat on the floor with food on her plate and a drink in her hand.
'okay I'll definitely take your advice for once then in my life I'm thankful for you Yolanda' said jasmine with a beautiful big smile on her face while looking at Yolanda.
Yolanda looked back at jasmine and smiled the biggest smile ever in her entire life she had jasmine to keep her company this year and so many more years to come.
the celebration was a big success to everyone that was there at the party and it never seemed to fail because it was the best thing that ever happened to Yolanda and jasmine.
