I looked at my Apple Watch to check the time again like I had been doing for the last hour. It was spring break and my family would usually plan a trip to go on together and make memories. My mother has been MIA for the past three months. The last time I heard from her was a text she sent me letting me know she had ordered me some new school uniforms and to be looking out for the package in the mail. My father has barely been sober long enough for me to have a full conversation with him. The only time I see him is when I get home from school and that's usually when he's heading to a bar. I kept telling myself he was going to stop drinking and actually tell me what was going on but I realized I was holding out hope for nothing after week two of his drunken antics. With the stress at home and making sure I passed all of my classes last semester and going into the new one, I know I needed a break. And I also knew I didn't want to be alone. So, I waited until my dad was almost passed out in the living room and asked him if I could use one of his cards to get tickets for Jodeci, Kahli, and me to go to our beach house in Miami for spring break. He, of course, said yes and I made sure I recorded the interaction for whenever he realized the charge in the bank statement and he comes to me with questions. Jodeci didn't hesitate to say yes to the trip and Kahli was down to go wherever Jodeci was going. I thought about buying an extra ticket for Naheim but after the talk we had at his house on New Years, I didn't get the impression that he and I were going to ever speak again. There wasn't a point for me to buy a ticket and he didn't show up. That's a waste of a lecture from my dad.

"Miami here I come!"

I turned in the seat I was sitting in by the terminal and smiled. I got up and lightly jogged to Jodeci and Kahli and hugged them both.

"You look stressed out," Kahli joked.

"It's almost time to board and you two are late. I thought you were going to miss the flight."

"And lose a free opportunity to go to Miami for the first time? I think the fuck not. Kahli is the reason we're late," Jodeci said rolling her eyes.

"What he do now?" I teased.

Kahli put his hands in his pockets and looked down at the floor. I looked at him with concern and then I saw it.

"Why is Naheim walking toward us?" I asked them both. Jodeci sucked her teeth.

"Yeah, Kahli. Why don't you tell our friend why the fuck Naheim is walking over here."

"I uh ... told him we were going to Miami."

"And?" I was starting to become impatient.

"And he said he wanted to come too. So ... he bought a last-minute ticket and I helped him pack. Which is why we're late."

Naheim finally walked up to where we were huddled with a smile on his face. He dapped Kahli up and tried to go for a hug from Jodeci but she just rolled her eyes and went to find somewhere to sit. Kahli moved around me and followed her. I could hear their bickering whispers and Jodeci chewing him out for possibly ruining the trip.

"Lil Annie, nice to see you."

He thought calling me by the nickname he gave me was going to soften me up. And I tried my best to fight the urges. He did smell good as hell though. It was definitely a new scent but it was becoming one of my favorites that he'd worn so far. I sucked my teeth and looked at him and immediately regretted my decision. It had only been three months since I last saw him but so much had changed. He was growing facial hair which I wasn't expecting. He still had his waves but they looked deeper if that was even possible. He had on a grey Nike tracksuit that was hugging him in all the right places. I found my eyes wandering from his gorgeous eyes down to his print that I knew for a fact he had to know was showing. My guess of his size was absolutely spot on. All the emotions I had for him were rushing straight to my pussy. And I didn't know how I was going to make it through this five-day vacation with him present.
