•Happy Birthday to me•
I ended up going home. Without Elijah. So I could wash the blood off of me. I was still in the shower when he got home. And I didn't particularly want to get out if it meant talking to him.
But eventually I had to. "Antoinette-" "What could you possible say, Elijah? I'm not angry because you were helping them deal with that vampire. I'm angry because of what you did after he was dead. Which was nothing." Opening the dresser drawer, I pulled out one of my hoodies.
He was silent as I put it on. "Antoinette, I'm sorry. If there is anything I can-" Turning around, I sighed when I saw the tears on his face. "Just be here, Elijah." My voice was soft as I spoke.
Pulling my hair out from under the hoodie I let out a deep breath. "You don't have to be here during the moment, if you can't be. I just don't want to be forced to do a locator spell, after I almost die, just to know where you are." He sped over to me and wrapped me tightly in his arms. It made me close my eyes.
"I promise, I will never let you out of my sight again if I can help it." I wrapped my arms around him. "I need my mother's things. I think I left it all to you guys."
_____________________I chanted with my eyes closed as I held the box I had made in my hands. While it was a poor one, it was still an ascendant. One of the old grimoires was from the time the 1903 prison world was made. It had the ascendants design detailed in it.
The gears slowly began to click into place as they turned. "What the hell is she doing!?" When I heard Eulissa's voice I held one of my hands up. I couldn't see her but I could hear her back slam into a wall.
"What is it?" Elijah questioned her but I ignored them as the magic began to flood my body. It suppressed any flashbacks from coming to the surface. "She's trying to absorb the magic of a prison world. Ad somnum."
Despite my attempt not to, I started to become more and more tired. I dropped my arm as I struggled just to say the chant. The ascendant fell from my hand.
As I slowly started to fall asleep I could feel Elijah lowering my head to the ground so I wouldn't hit it. No I.....
I need to stay awake....
__________I stared down at them as I took a sip of tea from my cup. My suit was incredibly similar to Lucien's. Though, under my shirt and jacket I had my gloves pulled all the way up to my elbows. They weren't doing as much to comfort me as I thought they would but they give a sense of protection. And my tie had a pattern of golden flowers embroidered into it. "Ah, flowers for me, you shouldnt have-" "They're for the lady of the house. Specifically Miss Antoinette."
Hearing Tristan simply say my name made me unbelievably angry. "The well-mannered bring a gift when invited to dinner. I assume you brought nothing?" Placing one of my hands on the railing, I took another sip of my tea.
Glancing up to the third floor I gave Eulissa a small nod in acknowledgement. There were more than a few witches up there. All ready to step in at a moments notice should something happen. "Nothing but my deepest respect for you-" "Lovely. We're all getting along." As Klaus walked into the room I made my way to the staircase. "Like a fuse and a match." At least Lucien is capable of making a joke.
"I take it Aurora is on her way?" Finishing my tea, I walked the rest of the way down the stairs. "I'm sorry I'm late." So glad for this all to happen on Thanksgiving. "Just freshening up. I did want to look pretty."
