"I wish the goblin king would come and take me away and make me his queen!"
Nothing.
You sighed at your last attempt to contact the goblin king had failed. If only he was real. Life itself was so boring you needed more, as selfish as it sounded. Hell you even craved it. Adventure and every fairy tale that involved some man or women or some kind of ritual to whisk you away into a fairy tale land had all failed. You were still stuck on your bed living a boring life with an obnoxious baby brother

Not to get anything wrong you loved him dearly but the nonstop crying made you consider otherwise. You flopped backwards closing your eyes wishing once more that you were taken away. As surprising as it may have been you were still in bed. Though the silence was cut short by you're brother's crys.

Kicking your feet upwards to make yourself stand you reluctantly walked out into your brother Max's room. Reaching into his crib you picked him up questioning what on earth could he have possibly wanted.
"Do you want a story? Milk? Come on max please I have things to do. I just a little bit of sleep"

Nothing changed he carried on with his crying. Maybe a story would soothe him. You carried him to the bed setting him down and picking up Cinderella. You opened the book and began to read hoping to tucker him out. What did cinderella have that you didn't. What made her deserving of a adventure even if it was just going to the ball. Lost in thought you were brought back to reality by your brother. It had gotten to the point where you could bear it no longer.

The book made a loud clapping sound and you slammed it shut.
"Oh max! I've had enough of your crying. I-I wish the goblins would come and take you away. Right now"
You picked him up and walked over to his crib setting him back down once agian. The storm outside began to rage and the droplets of water pounded against the glass instead of the light tapping instead of the light taps moments ago.

Placing the blanket over him you ignored his cry walking away from him towards the door. Except you never even made it to the door before his crying stopped and shuffling and whispers could be heard. Did he get out of his crib. No it couldn't be he was much to young to possibly muster up enough strength to push himself out.

You spun around and began walking towards the crib. As if there were some monster you paused slightly after each step.
"Max? Come on max im sorry i didn't mean to yell."
Once you were looking down you reached down slowly to lift his fluffy red blanket. Once belonging to you and soft to the touch. You yanked it up only to find nothing.

"What th-"
Before you could do anything else the storm outside seemed to get even worse. Footsteps were heard around the room. Bam. Now there was an owl banging against the window as if it wanted to get inside. It seemed so determined. The noise was too much. It was all so overwhelming you couldn't even register that your brother wasn't in the crib. You were turing and looking to spot where all the noise was coming from.

Another loud noise came as the window burst open letting rain and leaves inside. Only in place of the owl was a tall man. Who's eyes seemed so cold but yet there was something so magical about him. You weren't afraid and you had no clue as to why.

"Who are you and what are you doing here an-"

"You talk to much. What you should be asking is where your brother is. Hell you should even be thanking me. I don't do this for everyone you know"

You were stunned you eyes glanced to the side scanning for any weapon to defend yourself. You wanted adventure not a break in from a thug in sparkly black pants.
"Thank you?"
"Why you're welcome"
"No thats not what i meant and you know it. Where is my brother"

He shook his head and pulled out a crystal ball. He played with it ignoring anything i had to say. If anything happened to max your parents would have your head. You were supposed to be his protector.

"I took him because you asked me too. Forget about him (Y/N) and I will gift you this. Its a crystal nothing less nothing more. Though if you turn it this way. It will show you your dreams."

My dreams? My arm moved on it's own towards it. Though he smiled as if he already won his eyes seemed disgusted by my decision. He quickly pulled it back glancing at it.

"Though it isn't a gift for girls who sit around and take care of whiny babes. Forget about him and it shall be yours"

Snatching your arm back you glared at him and once again demanded to know where max was.

"He's there in my castle just beyond my labyrinth. Though i assure you it isn't for you. Give up now you won't even remember this. A life without a whiny baby. "

Honestly fuck this guy though his outfit was something straight out of a disney movie and he reeked of adventure. But you were determined to get your brother back.
"No no I'll do whatever it takes to get him back"

"Just how cruel are you. Just a moment before I got here you were wishing him away. Now you want him back?"

"Yes."

Your world faded around you as the air became hard to breathe. The both of you had been transported elsewhere and the sky was dark reminding you of fresh blood. He stood next to a grandfather clock leaning against it.

"You have 13 hours in which to complete my labyrinth or your brother will become one of us forever."

You watched as he disappeared into thin air. Insults crossed your mind but they weren't going to help you now. Was this the adventure you had been begging the world to give you. Hell if you couldn't complete this in 13 hours your brother would be gone forever. Some adventure. Really funny universe.
Standing around wasn't gonna get you nowhere so you took a deep breathe and moved forward

Towards the labyrinrh
