You had walked for what had seemed hours but in reality was merely minutes. The agonizing pain in your feet wasn't going to stop unless you sat down somewhere. Maybe you should stop and rest, collect your thoughts. Reflect on what all previous heros in your books had done. No. None of them rested they all were persistent with the journey ahead of them. Besides you really didn't have time the sooner you got your brother back the better.

You made an abrupt stop hearing voices arguing and giggling. Was it 2 people? No it had to be at least four.
"Hello? Excuse me ! I need help getting to the castle at the center of the labyrinth do you mind helping me?"

The voices loud and spontaneous tone went down rather quickly. Mumbling could be heard as if they were having some sort of secret meeting and you had just caught them. Well that was very rude and nobody is going to do that to you if you had anything to say about it. Once you turned the corner you saw these goblin like creatures hiding behind a shield or at least what looked to be one. They reminded you of playing cards having two heads one up and the other down. One blue and one red.
"Excuse me but I'm trying to get to the center of the labyrinth and as i see it im really getting nowhere"

They looked at each other before turing back to you.
"Well one of us leads to the castle and the other-well im not quite sure but I know its not the castle. Oh and one last thing before you make a choice. One of us always tell the truth and the other must always lie. I tell the truth"
"Oh what a lie" The blue creature chimed rolling his eyes.

Why this was so easy all you had to do was ask an obvious question and you were good to go. You walked straight up to the red guard and with a small smile of early victory you spoke.
"Am I speaking right now"
"I- umm No"
There you have it. You quickly walked over to the blue guard who stepped aside for you. You opened it and with confidence began to stroll straight threw. Unlike Sarah there was no hole to fall in no hands to grab you and absolutely no problems hell this labyrinth was way to easy. What you didn't know was somebody was stalking you. That somebody happened to be the goblin king who already had plans to screw you over.
Jareth's pov
"Look at them. Strolling as if they had already won. Well what do you think max should we up the stakes for your dear old sister."

He smiled and simply waved his hand causing the labyrinth to make a new trap. What was that thing humans were so afraid of again. Oh that's right spiders. This was gonna be fun to watch he just had to see it in person. He gently removed max from his lap and handed him to a goblin who began humming and dancing with the baby.

Your pov
You continued down the long hall why did it seem to go on forever. Maybe you should turn back while you still can. Taking a peek over your shoulder you see that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Damn it had you already walked that far. This left you with no other option but to keep going.

You pressed on picking up the pace. Your face felt funny every few steps it felt as if something touched your face. It was dim making it impossible to clearly make out what was happening or what you were running into. You never stopped once there was no force in the world that would stop you from reaching your brother. Once again something soft and sticky hit your face. Making you cringe and stop as you have had enough and needed to figure out what this was. Trying your best you squinted seeing faint glistening was it just moss and dew.

Faint hissing could be heard from behind you along with what sounded like footsteps. Could it be another runner or a creature that could help guide you. Carefully you turned around as the hissing got louder. Nothing it was pitch black behind you. Wasn't it just dim a minute ago? The hissing grew louder. Panic set whatever was there clearly didn't want to help you. The steps grew louder. In an attempt to quickly turn around and run ahead you tripped on the damp floor grabbing onto whatever you could for support. Nothing broke your fall you fell face first into the ground. Just great now your hand was covered in a strange sticky strings it was like an unwrapped cotton ball. But whatever it was it was covering whatever light source was in here as now you could see clearly.

Pushing yourself off the ground you turn to see what was blocking the light. It was some giant cotton ball colored yellow. Disgusting. Wait. You quickly realized that what you had pulled apart wasn't cotton but a sack. Not just any old sack but a spider sack. Large enough to cover a window. Once again the hissing was loud. You quickly turned around to see a good 10 feet away a absurdly large bird eating spider awaited. It all clicked. The thing you were feeling on your face earlier wasn't moss

It was webs and the hissing was a sign it wanted you out. You had just walked into it's territory and to make matters worse you had just pulled open one of it's egg sacks. Without thinking you sprinted full speed ahead forward pushing your way through webs that seemed to grow larger by the minute.
This seemed to alert the spider as it now came charging behind you quickly gaining on you. Probably thinking about how you would make a wonderful meal. You're heart felt as if it was about to burst out of your chest. There was no way you could stop no matter how badly your legs ached.

Without warning you were yanked to the side. This was it you were about to die weren't you. Though what you didn't expect to see was the Goblin king himself coming to check up on you.

"Now that's a spider with good taste. You do look rather delicious."
