Jareth stared at every feature on your face from that annoying little spot that you hated to the way your lips parted ever so gently while you took in more air. He reached out once again to touch you not noticing the way your eyes fluttered from the feeling. The way the pain was sending a wake up call to you. He was more focused on the way your lips would move when you spoke his name wether it be in anger or fear. He was much to busy to notice you now looking at him not yet comprehending the situation you found yourself in.

It was like a dream it felt as if you weren't even touching the ground. Your vision still blurred making everything look like somebody took a paintbrush and painted over the world. You reached out weakly grabbing onto him. Jareth was startled quickly removed your hand from his by a swift yank.

"Shit"

How much had you seen of him admiring you. He convinced himself it was purely making sure you weren't dead. You can't play if you are dead after all.

All you could see was a figure of another human. Hopeful somebody had come to your rescue. You wanted nothing more then to let this person take you home. What a wonderful thing that it is. Home. Where you could play pretend as long as you want. Where you could pretend you were a pirate sailing the seas. Or a princess at the ball waltzing the night away with your prince charming. Things your heart yearned to know.

Jareth watched as you were lost in thought and dazed. He simply tilted his head like a puppy and laughed. How wrong he had been he wasn't feeling anything but pity for you. At least that solved his dilemma of being afraid he was in love again. Fae's didn't believe in love at first sight. In fact it was a reality for them and they fell hard.

"For a moment there (Y/N). I thought you were dead. I hoped it actually. But then again I'm not a very good host if I allow you to die now am I"

His words didn't exactly click in your head so really all you could do was nod along. A habit that would usually only happen if you were in class at school.

"So being the generous man that I am. Ive decided that you have as much right to live as any of my other goblins considering you look and smell the same."

You began to sit up slowly but surely everything began to come into focus once again and his words began to come together like beads on a string. You soon realized you were wasting time. Maybe you could outsmart him somehow there had to be a way. You could get him to take you to his castle and there you could grab Max and run. If the heros in your book could do it there was no reason you couldn't.

"Now that I have your attention. I once agian have one more offer. Go home and ill grant you one wish or you could stay and try to get your brother back but I'll put you through hell the second you make the choice to stay"

Your brushed the hair out of your face trying to be as charming as possible. You then stand up wiping of your pants
"I'll stay. But i want to stay with-"

"I see what your trying to do (Y/N). You're not the first to try something like that. It won't work I dont really fall for pathetic girls who give away thier brother because life gets hard sometimes"

"But it's unfair! I never asked for any of this!"

"But you did ask that your brother be taken. You made the choice to come after him. Nobody ever forced you to do anything you haven't wanted to"

"You are the most arrogant man I have ever met in my life!"

"And you the most annoying person to come into my labyrinth. The second you stepped foot in here all you've done is complain. If you think this is unfair I wish you would see how I treated the last runner. I doomed them from the start you have a slim chance. Isn't that generous. Unfair is when I gave Sarah everything and she still turned her back on me"

You stood there thinking of how to respond. For a split second you wanted to comfort him but remembered everything he has put you through. People who have feelings don't toss man eating spiders at you knowing you could have died. Instead you simply turn away as you feel angry at yourself for wasting your time on somebody who brought you into the labyrinth for sick pleasure. Your brother needed you and here you were wasting precious time.

Jareth was cross at himself. Why did he pick you out of all people. He could have been tortured any other person with no repercussion involved. Yet he went out of his way to pick somebody who was as annoying as the fireys. He was just about to leave when you piped up once again.

"Jareth. I don't want to be alone here. Where are my friends"

You turned to face him but he had already gone. That didn't mean he hadn't listened to your request he was going to guide you to them. He wasn't about let you believe you had any kind  power over him. So he watched you wander through the forest to a cave which of course you went into having no other option but to hope there was a way out. Nothing was what it seemed here so why should the cave not be strange as well as the rest of the labyrinth.

As you walked through it giant faces were in the walls along with what appeared to be human claw marks. Though it didn't really scare you as they looked to carefully placed to be real pretty soon the faces started speaking.

"Turn back now"

"If you go that way only certain death awaits you"

"Go back while yo-"

"Oh shut up will you. I was almost torn apart and chased by a spider it can't get much worse from here"

"Well pardon me for doing my job"

The further you walked the more weird this cave seemed to get. There were eyes on the walls and there were also goblins who kept singing about a magic dance. As you walked by them they would giggle and talk about you. Saying things like there she goes making you feel like you were some kind of parade.

Soon enough you were to tired to keep walking. You were giving up hope of ever reaching your brother there were only 5 hours left to get to him and you were sure for a fact that you had practically had gone backwards. Out of frustration you kicked the wall and fell on your butt kicking your feet like a child. There was no other way to express how you were feeling besides this.

"Well that's not very nice kicking somebody's home like that but none the less allo"

You turned your head to see a pint sized blue worm with the most adorable red scarf. If you took if off of him you most defiantly could fit it around your finger

"Im sorry but did you jusy say hello?"

"No i said allo but that's close enough. Why are you fussing about anyways"

"Well it's a long story"

"If that's the case why not come inside. Ive just moved. The misses would love to have you inside for tea."

"Oh im sure it's wonderful but I'm afraid i must keep going if im ever going to get to the castle"

"Then why not try the hall of doors? Its right there in front of ya"

You turned away from the worm and saw an opening in the once full stone wall. Looking down it was a long hall full of doors. Instantly you perked up turing to thank the worm before you left.

"Thank you!"

"Of course but listen closely dear whatever you do if you see a brown door with a golden knocker do not go through"

You gave a quick nod in response before taking off.

"Thank goodness if she would have used that door she would have ended up in the Goblin kings throne room"
